318 - Nobody Cares!
Hello, dear bros. How is everything? It is Monday yet again and you know what that means.
I don't know how many of you remember this, but both PT and WT had an \"excuse message\" in it. In princess trainer it was somewhere around the time Lola moves in with you. This was the picture that was shown in the original game (which later got replaced with the proper content in the Gold Edition):
As for WT, I don't recall there being any visual representations, but there was that phoenix bit that basically was also an unfinished part of the game that ended (I think) also with some sort of message saying: sorry, I had no time to finish this. (Only WT never got a Gold Edition.)
What I am trying to say is this: I tend to apologize and hope that people will be understanding. And although some of you are, the majority could not care less (even if they don't say it to my face). And I must say, that I don't blame them. When I play a game, last thing I want to do is listen to the author's excuses. So, this time I will be doing things differently: there will be a lot of excuses every Monday, but non in the game itself! ^_^ I will ignore the pressure I feel to release this game before it's fully finished, grit my teeth and keep on working and hope for the best -_-
Just to be clear, the pressure I feel is mostly from myself. You guys are very patient with me, I have no reason to complain. This is my own fight with my own ambitions. -_-
To other news. Check out my new phone strap. I ordered it on AliExpress for less than 2 euros! It took a while to get here, but it was totally worth the wait. The photo does not do it justice. It looks magnificent in reality. In fact it looks so good that I decided not to attach it to my phone just yet, because I want to keep its clean look ^^
The work. Apart from the usual testing and coding I had to spend some extra time adding a short scene to every wedding event. Before, after the wedding the screen would fade out into the next day, but while testing I realized that the transition feels a bit abrupt that way. So I decided to add a little scene where Genie brings his new wife home and introduces her to his other wives.
There are 6 bachelorettes in total in the game so I had to write and program 6 different scenes. That is not all though. Since technically you can pursue the girls in any order I had to make sure the scenes playout differently depending on who you marry before who.
For example, although it is technically possible to marry Jasmine before everyone else, I think the majority of players won't be doing that. That means that she will be absent in many of these scenes and won't have the chance to say the things she would do say otherwise. What this means is I needed to make sure that no matter in which order you marry the girls, the scenes still make sense and play out more or less naturally. This means some of the stuff I wrote will never be seen by some of you, but at the same time it should create a much more personalized experience for the player.

For a second there I was worried that you missed your Monday Post, luckily it was just me being stupid because my card expired, I kept forgetting to activate a new one and because of that I did not get my notification. All is good now tho. I remember the bird in WT, there was a bit of text saying that you can see that I feed the bird but there is no actual content connected to it. I always wondered what was the original idea behind it. And I know that you feel the pressure, but really, I'm sure it will be worth the wait. As in you will (probably) feel better about releasing a polished and complete game rather than something unfinished. I gotta say, that the wife introduction is a good example of what sets you apart from the rest. Not many people would put that much effort to make the game feel proper. Also, pretty sick strap, glad you enjoyed Initial D, it's a good show! And as always, take care!

About the fact that certain players may not see certain content. This is a rather controversial topic because such games are typically scrutinized thoroughly. It's common to save before choices and try to do everything in different sequences to read every line of text in the game.
Well, when I say "content" I don't mean anything meaningful by that. This game will have a very complex structure. For example each of the characters has about 50 to 100 random phrases they say depending on the day of the year, the weather or moment in the story. Naturally you will miss some of it, but that helps beak up the linear feel a bit I think.

Hm... Not sure how to answer here. All I will say that she will have a reaction to every new girl you add to the harem, and of course she won't be happy about it.
You do amazing work and if you want/need more time on this? Go for it. So no pressure, because we all know it's going to be absolutely awesome once you are finished with this

First of all, I remember PT's "Sorry" message and I was sad at the time and understood. Then PT:GE came and it fulfilled my dreams beyond anything I could have imagined. Then came WT, which I'd *LOVE* to see a GE someday (no pressure, just a wish from me). And, even unfinished, I still love that game to death because it made me fall in love with Hermione and the Genie more than I thought was possible -and WT being a MS 'sequel'/twist is even better. The Akaburverse is stronk ! If the player won't marry Jasmine first, then I will. Because she is the ultimate waifu, my childhood crush and because you took your time to code it. When I was working on WT I was really stressing out over the development time length. In short I had a very unrealistic vision of what I could do in what timeframe. Because of that, after the release I didn't want to see or touch that game ever again. Also for the first couple of years I would rarely hear anything good being said about it. The thing I remember the most is people complaining about the chibis. But it's been a long time since and I do feel a certain nostalgia now and WT Gold Edition with a proper aspect ratio, and slightly updated visuals and a few extra things added sounds quite enticing to be honest :)
Great update man! The game looks like it's coming along really great and yes take your time. Many of us remember the dev cycle for pt and wt and how the pressure from so many before was constant don't let that get to you. Just like someone said above your the start off point for many corruption h games with pt being the literal gold standard no pun intended. Also I always found your social link scene in pt to be hilarious.

Personally I don't believe in therapists. Several years ago when I was in a bad place mentaly I decided to give it a try and went to a several different ones. Even tried taking antidepressants. At the end the only thing that really helped me was hitting the gym and doing other sporty things. But you are 100% correct about importance of finding the time to spend with friends. And I would also add family members to that list :)

I am surprised you are only finding out about this now. This was one of the main features since the beginning. You train Jasmine and at the same time assemble your own harem as a side activity. ^^ Yes, the older you get the more your taste develops. I am 40 now so my taste buds are on a fucking expert level.

Ha-ha. I know. It is hard to imagine now but when I was working on Princess Trainer (original one, not GE), there were no games like that. No indy NSFW games at all, apart from some cringy FLASH animations stuff and ZONE animations. The time sure have changed :)
Don't worry about the delays man. Little things tike these (wife intro transition) are what makes the game universe more lively. Take your time so that we and you can be proud of the end product. You have already gain my trust with your previous works 😀👍

To a certain extent yes. You will see when you play the game. The structure QT is much more complex than any other of my games so it was difficult to implement the wardrobe stuff in the same way I did it in Princess Trainer.
good update. Hope everything works out. Love having 'alternate path' content because it makes people try playing alternate routes that they normally would never play otherwise so that they get "EVERYTHING" from the game.
I do love alternative routes in games as well. Although when it comes to QT I specifically designed the gameplay so that the player had no need to restart the game to experience all the routes. Well, that's the idea anyways, we will see how it will play out in reality when I release the game.^^

Wonder Woman was always on the list. Super girl as well, but she is number two. Back in the day I did make illustrations involving both of them. Zatana not so much.
