303 - Business As Usual.
Hello there, dear bros. How is everybody doing? Personally, I am doing fantastic. Being able to type this post normally, on my PC instead of a phone, feels great. We really don't appreciate the little things until they get taken from us. Well, in this particular case, taken and then returned in a couple of days. ^_^
Ha-ha. I am sure those of you who give a damn have already heard about this. I am not surprised at all to be honest. It would probably surprise me much more if they managed to actually do a proper remaster. On the early stage of development it was already known that they hired some feminist woman to do rewrites "to improve" the story, and now they just decided to pull the plug on the whole thing it seems. Honestly it's for the better. I beat the game few month ago and it holds up just fine. What bothers me is that I remember that there was a fan project dedicated to remastering this game and those fans got hit with a cease and desist notice from the studio that was supposed to be working on the official remake. And what do we have now? No "updated for modern audiences" remake, no fan-made remake, nothing. Only good old classic that they will never be able to take away from us :)
The work. This week was spent on coloring and animating. I am still working on the Happy New Year party. At the beginning of the week I did consider cutting some corners with this whole thing since it already took quite a bit of my time, but ultimately decided to do everything the way I originally planned instead. Whatever. I will let the historians decide if my decision was the right one or not XD
The plan. This week I will continue to work on the even. Mostly importing the assets into the game, making everything works the way it should and writing the bits that are still missing. So yeah, that's the plan.
The Anime. I am watching MF Ghost anime right now. New episode drops every week. It's not the best thing ever or anything but so far I am enjoying it :)
Also for no particular reason I just want to drop this poster here. I hope you don't mind. ^^
EXTRA!! Make sure to check out this week's patrons-only post. I will be sharing a video, and a few WIP pcs. And that is all I have to say for now. Thank you for your support, and I will see you all next Monday.
-Aka-
P.S. There is a chance that I've already shared the following GIF with you. But even if I did, I am dropping it here this time as well because it fits the poster well and because it make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. ^_^

The outfits the angels wear in mf ghosts are pretty ridiculous. I'll never get how japan gets away with doing these things to HS girls.
I know. Japanese is one of those societies that continue to retain their ability to distinguish fiction from reality.
Considering how you post every week, you can track how long it has been between game releases. Post 184 was SC34 Ep12, so it is 119 weeks since last release. About 2 years and 3 months! That's wild what goes into these things. Maybe one of these days you can do a chill picarto stream, I miss those. Take care dude.
Please don't... No, shut up! I don't won't to hear it! Noooooooooooooooo! Seriously though, this takes too long. I need to wrap things up, maybe then I will have time/energy for another stream. I miss those too :(
This week's gif is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (1989)
KOWABUNGA!
I'm kinda glad the remaster of Knights was given the old plug yank. The moment I heard there was going to be any kind of rewrites I went 'Well, this is going to be a mess, isn't it?'. In this day and age I'm glad there's SOME quality control! And talented creators like you who don't give up on their artistic vision!
Yeah. When it comes down to it I usually prefer no remaster over a poorly done one (like GTA:SA for example, I wish it did not exist, honestly). And yes, all I wanted is updated visuals. One mention of the rewrites killed all my interest. Yeah, the sad part is, the fans often do a much better job for free than those multi million companies -_-
AKABUR IF YOU WANT a nice anime in space (if you miss SC34 ) look this playlist the anime name IS PLANETES he is short but intense and was one of the most accurate for a space anime https://www.nautiljon.com/animes/planetes.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yom4fm7St6Y&list=PLXepj0egF35agzw20Vm-ncPxfKP78kCb_
Never heard about it. But it looks like something that I would absolutely be interested in. Thank you. Added to the backlog!!!
Remember, even Michelangelo (the sculptor / painter/ architect and poet, not the ninja turtle) didn't consider giving the Sistine Chapel a quick spray paint job. Your commitment to sticking to the original plan is praiseworthy (and I want to see the feast scene !!!). Let the historians debate, but we're here to declare: who rules ? Akabur rules!!! Queen Trainer" will be a masterpiece.
Ha-ha. Thank you kindly. XD
Awesome update, yes KOTOR don't looks promising, let see how that ends, but you know who make games and remakes? YOU, so keep it up.
Yes, looks like I will have to do everything myself again! XD
