454 - Splendid.
HELLO, and welcome to another Monday Post. Yes, it's that day of the week again. Time for me to do my duty: post the Monday Post, and for you to do your duty: read at least some parts of it. ^^
SHOP. First things first: this week's Gallery/Shop item is another one of my old illustrations called "We All Chipped In". Heh, I used to name all my drawings back in the day, didn't I? XD Anyway, for additional info, please read the item's description in the shop. Moving on.
AI SLOP. I know that AI pictures tend to trigger some people, so lately I have been just keeping to myself all the amazing creations MrLazare keeps sending my way, basically non-stop all this time :). o7 Anyway, I decided to share at least this one because both of the girls look not only cute but also very much in character here. And it also looks almost completely photorealistic. I mean, I still get a vague AI feel from it, but it looks very close to a photo of some real human cosplayer girls. Even though April's turtle pedant looks like a cross here. (The full version is attached to the post.)
YU-NO: A girl who chants love at the bound of this world. I own a Nintendo Switch version of this game. Well, I "own" it digitally, so I should probably say that I am just renting it at the moment. Anyway, I played a few hours of it before puting it aside in hopes to play properly oneday, but last week I learned that it's actually a remaster of a much older game. And from the artwork comparioson I see that the art got absolutely masacared in the remake. I mean, remakes are almost always inferior to the original (IMHO), but now I know that it's not only true for your regural games but for Visual Novels as well. -_-
FUNNY THING. A couple of days ago, I randomly remembered The Guild, a fan-made YouTube TV show that I watched 20-something years ago. I remember really liking it. It was a silly little show made by the fans for the fans. I decided to dig it up. I opened the first episode (which is 3 minutes long) and started watching it. Then I noticed a link to the new The GUILD movie's Kickstarter campaign in the comment section. I got really excited at first. Seeing all the actors (minus the Asian chick) together again really pulled at my heartstrings. But then I started watching the trailer and... I don't know how to explain this... Everything about it felt wrong. I felt like none of what made the original show good was present here. Well, I suppose I'm just not the target audience anymore. Moving on. (The original show still holds up, though.)
AI SLOP 2. Don't blame me, blame MrLazare: he sent me this real-life render of Avy the skater girl, and I felt like keeping it to myself would be a crime or something. Anyway, the full picture is attached to the post in case you're curious.
THE WORK. Believe it or not, I am still doing the same thing: art assets for Irma's bonding events. I still have a lot of work ahead of me, unfortunately. As I mentioned before, I really want to give every girl in the story two very different ending routes (apart from Linda, the channel boss's mistress). Over the last couple of weeks, I've started having some strange thoughts: maybe I should do this only for April and Irma, while the rest of the girls (Avy, Tiffany, Kimmy, and Victoria) would get only one ending each? But that sounds so boring... If I give a girl only one set route, it puts the responsibility on me as a creator. But this two-ending setup puts all the responsibility for the girl's future on the player, and I really like it that way. Anyway, for now, I'll just suck it up and keep working according to the original plan.
CONGRATULATIONS! You have reached the end of this week's Monday Post. I really have nothing to add. Thank you for your support, and I will see you all next Monday. Laterz.

Do you have an updated discord link? The one on X is broken.
This is the link I have on twitter: https://t.co/D8aQd5gJB9 I just tried and it still works fine. Don't know what to tell you, must be some problem on your end.
Yeah, it's hard to find something from back when the creators were all in on the subject, then watch them come back with a couple decades or life experience watering down the raw passion. Hurts my soul....but keeps me looking for new things anyways!
Yeah... That's just life I guess. -_-
Concerning The Guild, I also had the same reaction. Excited at first but then underwhelmed. Also, the kickstarter felt like a huge cashgrab. Although I will say, I'm excited to see more content with Jeff Lewis
Yeah, you pretty much described my feelings perfectly with your comment. ^^
At this point I’m slowly becoming a recurring side character in the Monday Posts. XD Really glad you liked the April/Irma and Avy renders! Considering how much AI slop I spam you with every day, this was probably inevitable... ;-) I actually like the original two-ending plan a lot. Letting the player gradually shape each girl’s future feels much more interesting than giving her one predetermined route, even if I suspect Future Aka may eventually curse Present Aka for the extra workload! More work for Aka, more moral responsibility for us. Sounds perfectly fair...
I'm glad you approve. For not I will continue on the same course. :)
Though I'm not really an AI fan, it can be useful.
Yes. And more importantly it is part of our life now, so I prefer to accept it with dignity.
Epic update
Thanks. I wouldn't call epic, but I'm glad you liked it XD
The anti-AI crowd are just the latest iteration of fun police, and should be disregarded entirely. I am happy to see April's gazongas in all cases ^^

Akabur Rules! 𐔌*ˊᵕˋ*𐦯
^_^
U cute
No u
Wait.. two in a row.. u hate us, really?!...thats just midtier... Wheres the apocalyptic rant?! Come on, dont let us starve like this.😜
True... i miss akabur rant (っ◞‸◟ c)
I wanted to ask , will thier be a system through which we can keep track of which ending we are going towards
Yes. I want to do it pretty straight forward: at the end of each bonding event there will be a message saying "Your choice pushed the girl one step closer to the Good Ending" for example. You won't see any numbers, but when you reach the fork the path that has majority points will be chosen. In other words you don't need to worry too much about getting every event right. For example if you have 5 POINTS for ending A and 3 POINTS for ending B you will be getting ending A. And the ending names will light hints to the major theme of it, for example for Avy it's "Sweet Ending" and "Bitter Ending". Will this work for you? ^^
