430 - EXTRA!!
HELLO and welcome to this week’s EXTRA!! post! Thank you for your support, cherished bros! I really appreciate it.
DISCLAIMER: In this post, I will be discussing stuff that is in a super early production stage, which means that in the final game things could be very different. But if you want a sneak peek at the development process, here is your chance.
So, like I already mentioned in the public posts, this week I was mostly busy working on two character sprites for two new female characters. By now, I am done with the pencils and this week I plan to ink and color both sprites. And if I am lucky, I’ll even work on the facial expressions. The girl you see above is Kimmy Sparkling. She is April’s superfan and is one of the two girls who answered the channel’s job listing for a weather girl position. Kimmy is a very energetic and optimistic girl who wants to be just like her idol April in every possible way. I covered her eyes because I’m not quite happy with how they turned out and want to try redrawing them a few times, so the final version of her face is still in production.
The second girl’s name is Tiffany Davenport. She is the second girl who answers the weather girl job posting. Tiffany comes from a wealthy family, is well educated, and is actually way overqualified to work as a weather girl at a news channel that is about to go bankrupt. What could her reasons for looking for this job be, I wonder? :)
The idea is to let the player decide which girl to hire. Needless to say, this choice will strongly affect the story and will (hopefully) give the player a feeling of tailoring the story to their own liking. And of course, this will also add to the game’s replayability, making the New Game+ mode more interesting.

(I’m not even going to put an asterisk on that statement because I actually believe it!)

Good to hear. If you have some sort of emotional response to her already, you will feel even more so when she comes to life in the game :)
Is Tiffany inspired by Andrea Davenport, the spoiled rich kid from 'The Ghost and Molly McGee'? Andrea is just a teenager, and looks completely different, but they share the family name and have similar backgrounds...
I will be honest, I don't know who you are talking about. But she is basically just a classic wealthy bored snobby girl architype :)

Thanks for the new WIP files, It’s always cool to see the behind-the-scenes stuff for Queen Trainer. But I’m really hyped about the choice between Kimmy and Tiffany for Reporter Trainer!!!! Having two characters with such different personalities and designs is perfect 😍 Giving the player the choice to hire one or the other makes the game feel much more personal. I hate linear stories, so having this kind of choice is top tier! It definitely makes me want to play the game multiple times to see how the story changes with each girl... Good luck with the inking and the expressions!
Yeah. This stuff means more work for me of course, but to be honest it's really fun to add choices like that. Basically it's both fan to create and (hopefully) fun to play. :)
So many things to think about those two girls and the things there going to have to, ahem take in so to speak.
