404 - Post Not Found! XD
HELLO THERE, dear bros! How’s everyone doing? October is almost over, winter is coming and all that. ^^ Before you know it, the year 2025 will be over. Oof, better not think about that too much. It’s another Monday, and you’re reading another Monday Post! Yes, let’s focus on that — the only reliable constant in this world: Akabur’s Monday Posts! o7
MrLAZARE and the pins. The decision on the pin design has been made. Thank you for all the comments and suggestions! In the end, MrLazare (after a bit of gentle nudging from me) decided to go with the safest and surest choice — a genie pin. It’s not clear how the final product will look, so it’s better to be safe than sorry. Also, keep in mind that this whole thing is organized and paid for entirely by MrLazare — my involvement here is very minimal.
THE GAMES. I continue to play Conan (PS3) — absolutely loving it. The game feels a bit unpolished at times but is still a lot of fun. My only complaint is that it puts a lot of strain on my Steam Deck, turning it into a hot and loud monster that devours almost the entire battery charge in less than an hour. On the bright side, you can unlock Camel Punch in the special moves!
THE GAMES (2). Oh, and Fate/Extra CCC continues to prove to be a wonderful experience for the truly cultured men. I love the translation, love the story, love the art direction — love everything about it! I mean, if at a crucial moment in the story the game lets you (among other questions) ask the main villainess whether or not she’s wearing underwear at the moment, you know it’s a masterpiece. XD
LINUX. After watching a video on YouTube, I decided to give Linux a try — only a try for now, though. I created a bootable USB with Linux Mint (Cinnamon edition) and booted my laptop from it. And just like that, I had Linux on my machine! Well, not really, since it was running from the USB, but everything was working fine, and it was nice being able to try out Linux without having to commit to anything just yet. Here’s the video in question, if you’re wondering:

WORK. At the beginning of last week, I unexpectedly discovered that both the skater girl and the bootleg Casey Jones still didn’t have any facial expression variations. So, I had to dedicate a significant amount of time to fixing that. Facial expressions can be tricky — especially for female characters — so it took a while.
WORK(2). And after that, I discovered another problem. You see, the default sprite of the skater girl has her holding her skateboard behind her butt. She looks cute, and I like the pose in general, but as I soon found out, in some situations her maintaining that pose looked a bit out of place. So, I had to spend some time creating a version of her sprite without the skateboard. The final result looks good — but I’ll let you discover it for yourself while playing the game.
AND THAT'S THAT. Don’t really have anything else to report — just another day at the forge. Thank you for your support, cherished bros, and I’ll see you all next Monday. Laterz!

how do you find these gifs for the end lol
I know places XD It takes time though. Usually after I am done writing the post I spend quite some time looking for a good GIF (unless I have something already prepared beforehand XD)
“Post not found” , perfect title for #404, but thankfully the Monday tradition was found! 😄 The new skater girl looks amazing, those expressions give her so much attitude. But April’s peek in the update is still the best for me ❤️ I’ll admit, I miss seeing new art pop up in the shop lately, those weekly surprises had become part of the ritual... But I know you’ve been deep in the forge, shaping something bigger. Thanks again to everyone who joined the pin discussion last week! In the end, the Genie won, seemed like the safest wish to make for a first try🧞♂️ If all goes well, I should get them in about 3 or 4 Monday posts...
Sorry about the shop lately. I will try to remedy the situation in the future. I promise :)
Good to hear it's all been a good time so far! I'll take any week without a total collapse of society recently, yeesh.
Wise words from a wise man. o7
I support anyone and everyone using windows to give Linux a try. It's not perfect, and there will be annoyances, especially as you're learning, but it's a million times better than windows. Once you know the basics, the OS well and truly gets out of your way which Microsoft could not be further away from
Yes. Linux looks very appetizing. I only worry about my Photoshop, my drawing tablet support and my wireless printer connection. But that's literally the only thing that worry me. We will see how it goes. Maybe I will try doing double boot first.
Hmm I have Smallville on blu-ray entire series waiting for me to have time (back in the days before I had streaming to try before buying). That gif leads me to believe it will be a very wholesome watching experience. In the mean time watching skater girl on Monday posts wil be just fine.
It's difficult to sum up Smallville even in one sentence, it was a very long series that reinvented itself quite a few times. The had pretty legendary episode along with pretty bad ones. But it was always fun and they weren't afraid to try new things. I still remember a fully black and white noir episode where Lex Luther was a gangster boss and superman a regular policeman. Oh, and they had a lot of beautiful female characters. :)
I saw the gif and lost all thought. Push on my little rusky friend, the goal is in sight. As for an OS for your computer, try steam OS, it's free and come with instruction on set and dual booting.
I thought steam OS wasn't out yet, but your comment made me look it up. Yes, apparently it's an option as well. Thank you for the suggestion!!
Monday highlight delivered! Thanks Akabur!
I am only doing my part, citizen. o7
Epic news! Glad to hear games and work are going well.
Yes. Going steady for now. Hopefully it will continue to be this way. Thank you for the support as usual.
