390 - It's a peaceful life.
HELLO and welcome to another Monday Post. Seems like Patreon has updated it's user UI yet again, but I don't even feel like complaining about it anymore. I am sure there will be more updates in the future that will continue to make things worse for everyone. That's just life at this point.
SKATERGIRL. Finished working on the skater girl. Finally. I like how she turned out, my only gripe with her design now is that she has too much of a "main character energy" about her now, she steals attention from main characters despite being a side character. But I won't be making any changes to her design anymore, because I spent way too much time on her already.
THE WORK. Work is work. I am back to coding, importing art assets into the game, writing and doing other tedious things, in other words I have no exiting WIPs to show off.

Seems like there's even a petition against payment processors censorship https://chng.it/Qdrmmh6WXc - won't do anything of course but doesn't hurt. Also, if you are in US - push for S.401 - Fair Access to Banking Act - https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/401 - to ban payment processors from deciding how you can spend your money.

I think the preview of the Skater girl looks great! You can also play off that hot girl main character vibe against April for great banter! April may be jealous/insecure of Skater's 'pretty girl' looks, but April has larger 'assets' so she can use those against Skater's insecurities. A nice little yin yang thing going on there.
Actually Skatergirl already has her role set in the story. She won't be crossing paths with April all that often. The idea is to have her show up in a series of main story events as a side character and after that give the player an option to "date" her if he chooses so. ^^

Skater girl giving off MC vibes is OK. If anything she could be implemented into Star Channel 34 2.0, or a theoretical TMNT Trainer(The Old Man get put into the mind of Splinter while the turtles are trapped in Dimension X, and thus has to train April, Lara Croft, and other Fighting Game Ladies in the ways of "Ninjutsu").
Not going to lie, TMNT trainer sounded a bit gay before you explained the setup XD But it does sound cool. I would play a game like that :)

Yes, to tell you the truth I am doing my best to give her a distinct personality and not just slide back into Lola-Hornelia zone, it's very hard not to write her as another bratty blond XD

Well that would mostly depend on you guys:) Although I suppose I also have a responsibly to write her in a way so that she becomes popular enough. Well, we'll see :)

Yeah, I feel pretty much the same. That being said I am still grateful to Patreon for not kicking me out off the site. But if I could I would roll back all their updates and have the UI from 3 years ago.
skatergirl is genuinely amazing and really my type. Unfortunately for me, my type usually is gay or hates men haha. Maybe you can make her a main character in something one day, or she can just be a really cool side character. I love your art

Yeah, the world's full of prudes and nannies that spend an awful amount of time running around and finding things they don't like so they can scream about them. Imagine being so unfathomably uncomfortable with the idea of anyone enjoying life at all despite the fact most of these people are probably eyeballs deep in children.

Don't worry, I do plan to give Irma her own side story for player to explore. If all goes well she will even have two endings to her story (the usual public and private routes), but we will see how it goes :)

If skater girl's design is attracting too much attention we'll just need to simplify her by removing her clothes.
The group causing the issues with steam and card processors is being attacked and harassed already. People are also threating the card processors. My bank has already said that they will penalize the processors for stopping any purchases made of legal content. Basically they will take money away from them.

Sounds to me like skater girl needs a mini-spinoff game at some point! Also yeah, I haven't dived into it, but I assume steam is just implementing the same rules as most adult sites. Example being PH and Patreon with all the "family" related content had to implement the "step" rule due to credit card payment company pressure.
Bad news as always, but the good news is that those "payment processors" don't REALLY care about censorship - they just want to play safe, since in the Western world people can't tell the difference between real porn with real humans and drawn images. Which means "all-age version on Steam" + "free adult patch" formula should work. But yeah, it sucks... Soon the only allowed h-content will be D-cup MILFs who sign a consent form prior to a very respectful sexual act in California-approved list of sex positions (exluding positions that might imply the dominance of one partner over the other).

No No NO - they must act like restrictive parents and keep you away from anything they don't like (Despite the fact that you're an adult and can make your own decisions).

Great design, also I think the problem is that the cards are refusing to pay for certain games, that is bs if you ask me, I mean I contract a service, why should the company decide if I can spend my money on what? Let's see where it goes
