What I've been working on! (October 2025 Edition)

Hey there, thepancake1 here! It's been a while since I wrote a post for the patreon. Mizzie typically handles these, but she's been missing for the past few weeks or so. I've decided to handle the patreon in the meantime.

After releasing Better Abs way back in July, I had some health issues again. It's taken some time, but I'm doing better now.

First off, I want to mention that the relative silence on the the textures for Color Sliders is because I've been having difficulty getting the space to convert them.

I've done some behind the scenes work to lower the space required to keep Color Sliders from taking too much space on my hard drive. The new change saves about 150 gigabytes. It turns out only storing the changes to the textures saves a lot of space. I'm currently waiting for the November 4th patch to release the next texture update.

Something else I've been working on is improvements to the Better Abs mesh. I'm currently experimenting with writing a tool that should allow me to improve the visual appearance of it.

As you see in the screenshot, the neck and shoulders have some pretty strange vertex normals that manifest as odd shading on the mesh. I hope the tool results in some nicer looking shading.

As for another update on our mods, I've been wanting to redo the animation for the Shoe Removal Animation Override to be less janky and include more than just one animation meant for clumsy sims. For your convenience, the old animation looks like this:

I always thought it was rather strange to have only one very personality-driven animation and not include a more neutral one.

As for new mods, I'm currently attempting to work on a rideable broom mod, but the animations for it are really difficult because of how many separate clips there are. It might not release for a while, if it ever gets released.
