-Yoshiwara's Demon (some info!)

This is something that comes up often on Discord and in the community chat, but it’s worth reminding again: Yoshiwara’s Demon is still in development. It’s a big project, with some surprises you’ll discover as we get closer to release, and a few technical challenges to overcome.

That said, once Mei’s Project is finished, I’ll have more time to fully focus on this game. I prefer not to give a specific date just yet, but the goal is for it to release 100% this year!

-SPY FAMILY ANIMATION

I’ve been wanting to make a longer animation with Yor and Loid as the protagonists for a while now. I don’t watch much anime, but Spy x Family is one of my favorites, you just have to look at that gorgeous mommy Yor. She was actually one of the “origin” characters of my Patreon account, so it feels kind of special to dedicate a story-driven animation to her with my current level.

Duration? Nothing too crazy, I’m aiming for around 3 minutes.

-As for long animations…

Those of you who have been here for years know that I started by creating short, 1-minute story animations. Every now and then, I would take on a “big project” (like the Hashira or Upper Moons animations), which clearly marked a before and after in my work.

But you have to keep in mind that these kinds of projects don’t just require a huge financial investment and coordination with a large team (voice actors, sound effects, etc.), they also take a massive toll on my energy. Remember, I’m just one person (drawing, animating, organizing) not only animations, but also weekly Patreon posts, games, and more.

Since last year, I’ve focused on making slightly longer stories, usually around 3 to 4 minutes. However, that also means more production time and longer waits for you, the supporters who contribute every month.

So I need to find a balance between optimal duration and my own sustainability. The last thing we want is what unfortunately happens to many artists: burnout.

That said, I’ve got plenty of ideas waiting! We still have things like Daki x Muzan, Toga x Ochako x Deku, and new concepts like Hikari x Kirara, or even animations set in the world of Hazbin Hotel.

In the coming months, I’ll post a poll so you can decide the next animation yourselves (after the Spy x Family one)!
