Dev Log: Relationship Screen Update

Bah! Forget about my socks story. I've done something!

Two actual Dev Logs in succession must be something of a record for me which .. might .. mean something significant. Then again. Maybe not. Time will tell.

After a suggestion by somebody (who will remain nameless to protect his modesty) shortly after the release of Chapter 2 .. I've adapted the relationship screen.

What Arguendo (whoops!) suggested was to show not only the current relationship score between characters .. but a positive upward green arrow or a negative downward red arrow depending on the last relationship modifier that was applied.

And as you can see from the attached screenshot at the top of this post, this is now in place

But not only that ..

Never one to be given an idea and leave it at that so that he or she who supplied it gets all the credit - I went further with the idea so that I get the bulk of the credit for myself! Sorry buddy! 😁

If we now click on the relationship number itself .. a small popup window opens up and we get a history of all the relationship changes made throughout the VN up to that point between the two characters.

SPOILER ALERT! Don't look too closely if you've not played through to the end of Chapter 2 yet ..

So you'll now have a full list of all the modifiers that have been applied due to the decisions you've made in your interactions with that character.

Sadly, if you've have played through Chapters 1 and 2 and you're wanting to continue your current saved game in Chapter 3 - you won't get the benefit of seeing the impact of the choices you made in those chapters as those numbers will have been lost in the ether. But you will get the information from Chapter 3 onwards ..

Best idea? Start a new game as it's been a while!
