Dev Log (Freebie!) : Scene Complete & SFW Ch3 Previews!

Yeah! You read that right! A scene has been completed!

So why the big cheer for such a minor achievement?

Well, a few things really.

• It's Scene 1!!!

• Although - to be fair - this single scene consists of about 4, maybe 5, different components. Even though I'm calling it "Scene 1" - it's more accurately Scene 1a, Scene 1b, Scene 1c, Scene 1d, Scene 1e.

• It's the first truly finished 100% scene of Chapter 3 (not including add-ins and take-outs come clean up). There's actually 5 scenes currently at various stages of completion. I mentioned a few of these in a previous Dev Log. But this is now 100% complete.

• Scene 1 consists of about 500 renders and circa 2000 frames of animation.

• A casual play through of scene 1 - so no button mashing from the button mashers amongst you - takes just over 30 minutes.

• So scene 1 of Chapter 3 alone is about 7 minutes shorter than the entirety of Chapter 1.

I need to get a fucking life ..

I think Chapter 3 is going to be a big one.

I know, for instance, in my minds eye that the final scene (again, consisting of multiple parts) - is going to be a biggie too. Possibly in the same realms as Scene 1 .. I wonder who's coming to dinner in that scene?

So two big huge scenes bookending all manor of shenanigans with our characters in between.

.. But in the meantime - I'm off to London again for a few days to re-charge my batteries.

And when I'm back? Get to work finishing off Scenes 2, 3, 4 and 5
