The color looks wicked against black and white. Could imagine a oposing team from a goth school using black and white pain though as contrast. Or is the colors based around some sort of rule?

Thank you. Splatball can be played in 1v1 teams, or 4v4 teams, the colors are based on the color of the team that uses them.
