Changes to Game Updates
Did the fact that v0.2.4 and v0.2.5 of LC is so different, it got you confused? There's 260+ renders in v0.2.4 and yet there's only 60+ renders in v0.2.5. Or what about WT's v0.4.3 with a lot of content in it and v0.4.4 with not a lot of content in it?
No matter if I mention it all the time or plaster it all over the place telling you what kind of content each update has, to no avail, it still shocks you, so I'm hoping to make some changes here.
I'll be bringing back "Beta update" and differentiate between game's "Major update" and "Regular update", plus a more clearer timeline of when an update becomes public.
The court of public opinion is scary to me, that's why some updates took longer to come out than the others. Some were even skipped. Just like v0.4.4 of Willing Temptations, I will not make that one public, but v0.4.5 will because I'm very confident about it.
But when?!
Well, slow down now. Let me go over some changes here real quick and talk about my game development issues, but if you're impatient, it's gonna be 3-4 weeks after initial release.
Anyway, here's the full changes.
v0.4, v0.5, v0.6 < This is Major Updates
v0.4.x-Beta_M1A, v0.4.x-Beta_M2A, v0.4.x-Beta_M3A < This is Beta for Major Updates
v0.4.x-Beta_R1A, v0.4.x-Beta_R2A, v0.4.x-Beta_R3A < This is Beta for Regular Updates
v0.4.x-Beta_1B, v0.4.x-Beta_1C, v0.4.x-Beta_1D < This is just small fixes
v0.4.6 > v0.4.7 > v0.4.8 < This is Regular Updates
v0.4.6a > v0.4.6b > v0.4.6c < This is just small fixes
So, yeah, there's going to be a "Beta-branch", and it's only available for patrons. Since it's for enthusiast, I got to have it with complicated naming with the letters and all that, because I trust that you will follow closely to the development.
Beta version of Major Updates will be exclusive for Recreational Visitors.
Beta version of Regular Updates will be available to both Supporters and Recreational Visitors.
Beta version will not be available publicly.
Major Updates will be available to both Supporters and Recreational Visitors at the initial release, and will be available publicly after 2 weeks.
Regular Updates will be available one-week early to Recreational Visitors at the initial release, and it will be available to Supporters afterward. Then, it will go public after 2-3 weeks.
Need an example?
Take v0.4.4 of WT, it should have been v0.4.x-Beta_1A and this v0.4.5 should have been v0.4.x-Beta_2A, and after I make some fixes v0.4.x-Beta_2B is released, and no bugs or big problem with it. Then it will come out as Regular Update v0.4.5. The full Resort Ondo experience from the beach to the premium massage that the man has offered our MC and his wife will be available to Recreational Visitors on May 29th, to all Supporters on Jun 5th, and public on Jun 19-26th.
That's the example. I'm also gonna be skipping public release of LC's v0.2.4.2, so stay tuned for v0.2.5 instead, coming to all Supporters on May 29th, public on June 12th.
Lasting Connections is the standard, so you got 4 more regular updates to look forward to until v0.2.9 before the first major update release with v0.3.
Willing Temptations will continue to receive Regular Updates until Phase 3 is done, so you might see v0.4.11 of Regular Updates and beyond.
