Development News 38 - Change of Plan (Willing Temptations v0.3)
Willing Temptations v0.3 | Progress: Scripts 100% > Renders 90% > Playtest 0% > Release
Lasting Connections v0.2.1 | Progress: Scripts 95% > Renders 0% > Playtest 0% > Release
Alright, I got some good news for you. There has been a change of plan to v0.3 content, and that I will be cutting it further to not include crazy date. That way, I can release v0.3 as late as next week because most of the renders for classic date are about to be done.
I've been pumping out updates almost every month now, and I don't want to stop that streak.
v0.3 is cool, but don't get yourself hyped up too much. It is, ultimately, just a month worth of content at the pace I usually do. Maybe just a little bit more than usual, but it's nothing grand at all. But it'll provide a much-needed intimacy between you as the MC and Lexi.
Not gonna lie, I feel like I almost got tipped over the edge while working on this update on WT. Working on LC's scripts on the side are so fun, that it got me through close the finish line at finishing the renders on this project.
Thanks to your support, I have managed to snag a used thinkpad laptop on time. It's a T480, and it's pretty nice. Though, I might need a replacement screen cause the model I got has terrible display. But regardless, the laptop accelerates the development quite a bit.
And speaking of future development, obviously, crazy date will be developed after v0.3 of Willing Temptations has been released. So, it'll be v0.3.1 on that one.
I'm considering a once every two months update on each project. Which means there will always be an update every single month. This month is Willing Temptations, and the next month will be Lasting Connections, the next month afterward will be Willing Temptations again, so on and so forth.
Now, I know what you are thinking. Why don't I just postpone one project and make monthly updates for the other project? Unfortunately, things are not that simple for me. There is a case of burnout and gradually declining willingness to keep going. That's why refreshment and break are necessary. You would still get less content from me if I work on one project all the time than both projects in tandem.
Hence, why I'm excited to let you know, that I'm aiming for around next week to release v0.3 update, because it is so close. I know that I'm gonna have to fix some renders in playtesting phase, and stress the hell out of it to squash any bugs and issues.
But, hey, I'm still hyped about it cause I'm having fun.
And that's about it for the 38th development news. Stay tuned for the update, and I hope you all have a great day. Thank you, everyone.
