This movie brings the true-to-life story of Josie Caberos, a women who was trafficked in the Philippines. Josie was able to free herself from the horrendous experience of modern slavery and emerged herself as a community volunteer committed to fight against human trafficking in the Philippines.

Caberos is a former child laborer in a sugarcane plantation. She became a child slave in the plantation at the age of 8. Children used to work there 8-12 hours a day, on rainy or hot days. They were suffering from deplorable working conditions in a sardine factory in Navotas, Metro Manila.

It was on that date when the issue of child slavery in the Philippines first came into the surface, and as such it was a landmark achievement for it did not only expose the problem but also became a precursor of initiatives done both by government and NGOs to eradicate child labor and human trafficking.
