HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS NO FAIRY TALE
The Finnish Ombudsman for Minorities and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) launched a campaign against human trafficking. The campaign video was a new version of a well-known Finnish tango, Satumaa, interpreted by Paula Vesala and Jori Sjöroos.
Action against human trafficking should be reformed in a way that would provide the victims equal assistance throughout the entire country. Moreover, safe accommodation should be organized for the victims of human trafficking, and this should be laid down in legislation. It would also be fundamental to view the assistance provided to victims of human trafficking as a whole, and to effectively prevent re-victimization.
We as an anti-trafficking organization chose to raise awareness by posting this video, hoping this contributes to achieving these objectives.
