A lot has happened on social media over the course of the last few years. We live in a truly unipolar world where people's lives are almost completely dependent on Big Tech. We take orders from Big Tech. Sounds like dictatorship, right? It is a dictatorship. While Facebook and Twitter or Instagram are no better, we choose to focus on YouTube.

Things are simple but sad: If one doesn't conform with YouTube's agendas, they will be singled out like Real Women Real Stories. When does social media become more of a detriment to society than a benefit you ask? Now. And it's no wonder that the world looks how it looks like today. It has a name, and it's called degeneracy, to fall below a normal or desirable level in physical, mental, or moral qualities, to deteriorate. Isn't this what's happening to our society? It does, "thanks" to Big Tech (among other factors).

We are being fed with the most superficial content ever, and for some of us, scrolling through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube is like coffee in the morning and we are now beginning to think about things like social media as an addiction, something that distracts from reality instead of heightening it. YouTube, a platform that we loved, is a platform that unfortunately contributes to degeneracy. Reality shows, talk show programs, all these challenge videos and pranks, tabloid news, even political shows have become nothing but cheap entertainment for the masses. Simply put, distraction, distraction, distraction!

Real Women Real Stories plans to fight against Big Tech dictatorship. If you still haven't, you should open your eyes to the growing threat that technology and social media companies pose, realizing with shock the extent to which the companies would go to limit our freedom of expression and censor us. This entire issue also has a strong tinge of irony, as a decade ago it was social media that was considered by many to be a platform to boost democracy and freedom of speech. Regulation is needed because power corrupts. If you support our statement(s) and our motives and movies, if you want us to keep fighting for reality and create more important life stories about women, we need your support. Don't get us wrong, it's not an ultimatum, it's our sad reality. We want to keep making movies for you, but when YouTube hurts our channel it is very difficult with almost no resources.
