It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rowan Rowden: CEO of DWS, citizen of Tortall, and friend of Team Tammy. Without their creative vision and dedication to their fellow fans, we wouldn't have the beautiful merchandise and artwork to represent Tammy's worlds and characters we do today.
Our thoughts and hearts are with the DWS team, who are dedicated to following Rowan's wishes and the legacy they left behind.
Rowan Rowden died by suicide. If you or anyone you know are struggling with thoughts of suicide or self harm, please, please reach out to a friend, family, or your local suicide hotline. You are worthy of help and love.

It's so much tragic - a lot of love to all those who knew Rowan and have tu suffer such a loss now. /// Maybe all that which followes here is common knowledge to everyone and I'm splaining but I think one cannot stop unterlining some facts again and again. * hug * If you yourself are in trouble - talk about it to trustworthy people. If you know none, there are hotlines and other stuff where they won't turn away from your fears. Be aware of the fakt, that talking openly 'bout mental health helps. Be aware that official news about "successful" suicides increase the number of suicide attemps as well as reports 'bout prevented ones decrease the rate. Be aware of the fact that only few who tried to commit and survived ever try again cause they already regretted seconds after their attemp (and afterwards get the help they haven't found earlier). Usually it's not about the wish to die but bout the impossibiliy to go on living like one does at the moment. If you have loved ones who struggle with heavy mental health issus - listen to them. You need not be able to solve all the problems, there are professionals to do so. But listen. Don't tell them they need to try harder but how brave they are fighting their fears for so long already. Accompany them to help centers if they agree. And get alarmed when they use to have a lot of suicidal thoughts daily but suddenly start making plans for the future which makes you hope. That can be the sign that they finally decided to end it all. Much love to all who fight mental illnesses or who support others who have. <3
Hello I'm very sorry to ask this on a public post about some absolutely tragic news but I have no other ideas. I have long dreamed about getting a specific book signed by Tammy. It's a copy of Alanna that my dad gifted me when I was 9 and changed my life. I have been reading and rereading that copy for nearly 20 years and it's so well loved it's falling apart. I've never had the opportunity to attend any of her events and given the recent news about her health I fear I may never have the chance. I was wondering if it is in any way possible to mail it and get it signed?

I am so so sorry for this loss. I hope everyone here knows they are loved and valued.
So sorry for this loss; it is never easy for there to be a death, but it is extra rough when it's circumstances like these. I wish Rowan all the peace/rest/relief they sought, and wish their loved ones all the love/comfort/etc in their time of grief.

Very sorry for their loss, and sending my thoughts to all those who loved them. I would, however, like to gently suggest that messages of this nature use a subject line that makes it clear we are opening a message about a tragic death rather than about fandom merch. A suicide content warning at the top of the post would not go amiss either. Some of us struggle with reading about that unexpectedly.

May there memory always be for a blessing. I spoke to Rowan over email many times especially during Covid and they were kind, funny, and someone I knew I’d get along with in person. So sad to hear this.
