Patron critiques!

Hi everyone, I have an idea to start making videos on YouTube where I critique my patron/subscribers work. I could display the work in procreate in my video and talk through the strengths and areas to improve. Perhaps I could even set about showing the difference a few adjustments could make by actually doing them on top of the work.

Do people think that this is something that people would want to see?

If so do you think I should just stick to verbal feedback or should I also demonstrate and rework others' work in the video?

Thank you everyone, appreciate your input

James :)

It's a great idea, James. Watching and learning is so much more productive than just being told. Just don't wear yourself out. If and when the moment comes that are not enjoying what you are doing - STOP and take a breather. None of us want you to burn out even if you can tutor us on the darwing of fire! Best wishes.

Thank you so much Adrian, it's really nice to have the reassurance. I do feel the pressure to keep up the pace, but I am enjoying it 😊

I think if you want to make a video then demonstrate by making changes would be the better way because several big YouTuber that I follow who make similar videos all do that instead of only giving verbal explanations. By the way, I found your YouTube channel during the weekend and I decided to support you because many reasons. I will talk about my reason if now is not 6:15am in the morning and I have to go to work :P. I teach too, just not art. It's a lot harder than I thought would be, so I completely understand if you want sometime for yourself. You are the only creator that I supported who charges by creation and I am little confused about how it works.

Thank you yes I think demonstrations are the way I will go with it! lol yes teaching is hard work at times! In terms of the per creation, I charge a maximum of 2 times a month even if I produce 3-4 videos. It is possible on some months that only charge for one video or my life becomes so busy that I make nothing at all. This way my patrons only get charged if I create. It is possible for patrons to set restrictions to one pledge per month too, so you don't need to worry about going over the pledge amount. I have seen creators on Patreon who charge their patrons per month and then have a month where they create nothing and I don't think that is fair. Thank you so much once again for your support :)

I think that would be a great idea - a really good way to understand how different techniques and approaches could improve a composition. I might regret this, but I'd also be happy to volunteer a picture anytime :-)

This would be great! And i agree with demonstrations since it's the best way to see where and how to improve :)

Demonstration is always the best but of course get permission from subscriber first as maybe some are shy or may be ashamed? Like I will

Thanks Bill, yes of course I would only use images sent to me and would check for permission to work on them in my video. Thank you :)
