mammal Vol.2 is finished
The photo book mammal Vol.2, created together with Ren, is finally finished.
Ren is both a collector of fetish fashion made from materials such as latex and PVC, and an enthusiast of BDSM culture.
I’ve been photographing with her regularly for around two years, and this book is a collection of those photographs.
As a photographer, I usually place a strong emphasis on narrative in kinbaku photography. But through working with her, I discovered the fascination of setting aside story and context, and instead pursuing the fetishistic presence of kinbaku entirely within a single image.
The atmosphere of these photographs is quite different from the work I publish in my magazine Roca, but these images are also deeply important to me.
