I've come down with a minor case of AVNdevitis (dev update 06/16/2026)
Hey, y'all!
This one is a bit later than I usually like to post these, but I was locked in on fixing my dogshit writing and code all day, so writing this update just slipped my mind.
Good news! I'm running out of stuff to render!
Bad news! It means I'm close to reaching the finish line (for real this time), so now I've got to tackle the dirty work I've been putting off for a while now, such as working all the paths and making sure no fuckery is afoot in the code, sound design shit, and proofing/editing my script.
All of this is the same amount of work as I put in during render and writing weeks, but I have nothing to show for it in terms of raw data and numbers, heh.
[Realized after proofreading this post that I forgor to drop the numbers again, and I have no smooth way of mentioning 'em, so I'll just leave them here: 5,330 renders, 180 animations, and like 40-50k words or so:D]
Another thing to mention, is the reason for this post's title...
Unfortunately, my computer has suffered a great loss this week. One which will be tough to recover from. Quite frankly one that put the future of this project in jeopardy...
One of my case fans died, and I... had to buy a different set of fans from the ones in my computer as they were out of stock...
For some reason they only had nerdy RGB Corsair joints instead of the plain black ones I like, so I had to buy some ugly Noctua ones instead. This vexes me.
This would've been fine on it's own, as my mother raised me to be brave and persevere through God's toughest battles, but shortly after I swapped the fans out, cleaned the PC whilst I was all up in its guts, and plugged it back in... I NOTICED MY MONITOR HAD SOME BURN IN.
I am deeply upset, and my mood is shattered. I shall take out this frustration by recreating that one sad GIF of Spiderman walking on a rooftop as the city is in shambles, and also by angrily correcting my typos, yelling at myself for being a failure in the process.
That's about it for this week.
