State of the Game: Re-Indexed

Evening, all! It's a new month, which means that v0.35.0 is now out for the public and v0.36.0 is up for patrons!

Before getting into the update contents, I should probably first address some current events. As some of you may know, Steam and particularly itch.io have recently been hit by demands to hide or remove some of their content. Carnal Coup's presence on Steam is unaffected, however there have been changes on itch.io. For a time all adult games were deindexed. This has now been restored for free games, which means that the public versions of Carnal Coup and Carnal Voyages are again fully accessible. Getting to the Overseer's Edition of Carnal Coup however now requires a direct link. It's still uncertain how things are going to end up, and to anyone out there who's been helping to put public pressure on the payment processors causing this, you have my thanks. I do want to note for future reference that, in addition to the project discord, I also have a project blogspot page. Aside from game updates and news, this site will always have the most recent download links for all of the current game versions.

With that out of the way, update discussion! This update wraps up the civilian plotlines for both the Schen and Happee with a fair bit of smut, and both scenes are on the to-do list for art (with the Happee scene already in progress). I've also started on the faction conclusion plotline for the Schen, which will be wrapped up for the next update. Additionally, CG variants have been added to go with CEO Hardhoard's recent finale.

For the next month, aside from the Schen takeover plotline there will also be the Happee finale to do. If I get through that this month then we'll all be due for another round of 'thanks' from the Admiral for our hard work, so all-in-all it's going to be a pretty smutty month.

  • Final Schen 'civilian' scene added, unlocked 20 hours following the previous. Added to replay mode.

  • First Schen 'takeover' scene added. Unlocked 20 hours following completion of the Schen leader plotline, will require completion of the Schen civilian plotline and a Romantic or Platonic relationship with Dr. Geesht to complete.

Art Content:

  • 'Hardhoard's Office' CG set added to Happee leader climax scene and gallery. 4 variants, based on gender preferences. Automatically unlocked if scene has already been played.
