State of the Game: Updates and Discounts

Evening all, it's October and I have a special announcement! In celebration of the Third Anniversary of the store launch of Carnal Coup - Overseer's Edition, I've now permanently discounted the price! On top of that, it's also on sale for the next two weeks, bringing it to its lowest price ever! As usual, you can find it on either Steam or itch.io! As a reminder, the Overseer's Edition contains a special digital 'art book' for the game you won't find here on the Patreon.

As for Carnal Voyages, v0.25.0 is now up for free at the usual page, and we have some smutty new content this month with a Seeder scene and a special 'reward' scene from Admiral Octo, if you've completed both the Harian and Seeder factions (in the future, any two factions will qualify). We also have a CG added for a previously released scene, and our artists are currently working on several more Seeder CGs.

With the Seeders wrapped up, it's now time to switch back to functionality work for a bit, and I'll be starting that with the creation of the next tier of ships, which the Admiral will tell you about in-game. The next tier of ships will be both larger and more specialized, with one class for each of the five DTF branches. In addition, I plan to lock some game functionality behind the ownership of one of these tiers of ships, in particular, pregnancy and cosmetic surgeries. Pregnancy in this game is planned to be a relatively 'light' system, as I'm not in a position to make pregnant variants of every portrait set in the game, and more importantly, I don't want there to be any actual appearance of children in the game at all as that's a good way to end up in trouble.

However, before I get to that I'll need to get the ships made first, so that will be my focus for the next update. I'll let you know how that goes next time, until then, the patch links are below, game links will follow, and I want to give a special thanks to everyone who's been supporting me the past few years!

Game Functions:

  • Functionality added to support scenes unlocked by the number of completed factions.

  • 'New Scene' alert markers added to Galaxy and Figura System maps for when new scenes are available at the Figura System. Does not apply to tutorial scenes.

Scene Content:

  • Third Seeder 'Takeover' scene added to the Abandoned Observatory, unlocked 20 hours following the second. Has two non-exclusive branches. Added to replay mode.

  • Admiral Octo scene added to Watch Station, unlocked after completing two faction systems. Unlocks the Admiral Octo 'Topless' portrait entry in the Gallery.

  • Optional Admiral Octo 'reward' scene added, unlocked immediately following the previous scene. Added to replay mode.

Note: The new ships discussed in the Admiral scene are currently in-development and not yet in the game.

Art Content:

  • Seeder Lecture CG added to final Seeder 'civilian' scene and Gallery. Will be unlocked in Gallery if scene has already been played.
