Writing: 95%

Coding: 95%

Current release date estimate: October

I've set the release date as in the month of October! The writing and the main art should be finished comfortably before then. There are some pixel art pieces and parts of the game like menus and quest logs that might cut a bit closer to the line. So It might move by a couple of weeks or so but I'm generally confident. My animator has slipped beyond the veil, as he often does for periods of time. Hopefully he comes back in time, If not I'll probably release without animations and add them in at a later time, as I've done before.

Been working on a better mission system this week. I had the concept working but was still using placeholder visuals, so I was putting together a proper look for it and getting the sound effects playing at the right times and everything. I always work in the fail fast idea of; Make it work - Make it work correctly - Make it work efficiently - Make it pretty. And that has generally always served me well. I work a lot better jumping in than spending a long time planning. I feel you can have ideas for how something will go all you want, but until you actually start doing it and understanding how it feels you won't really be able to determine the best course of action.

I'm building a website for myself at the moment. I don't plan on selling the game directly as that seems like it would be too much admin to manage, but it will have links to important places. The main thing is I think it will offer a clear and obvious place for players to download patches from if they can't get it from steam.

At the same time I'm working on a couple of new languages for the first game. Spanish and Ukrainian. If you speak either of those languages and would like to test it out, let me know and I can send you a preview to run through.
