Wrote a recap of the first game for the intro scene, it was quite fun going through and collecting some screenshots for it. It's crazy comparing the original aspect ratio to the new widescreen one, it's a huge improvement.

Some things it feels strange to talk about as they are nice steps in development progress, but make no sense as players don't have context of what I'm talking about. Like I finished creating characters for slum recruitment. Which is great, but meaningless to everyone apart from me right now!

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole this week setting up the save system. The game autosaves daily, the save screen shows various data points from the save like playtime/chapter etc. and shows a picture the location you saved in. Just nice QoL stuff.

I also moved some functions out of button presses to be visible on screen. So now if you want to hide the text box, or view the message log, there is a small button next to the text box you can press, this means you don't have to fiddle around on the keyboard and remember the correct buttons. I've also added a button to quick save the game if you need to close it down in a hurry ;) .
