Patreon Page Updates
Looking at the results of the polls, it seems like not a lot of people want tiered early access except for those who already get it. There aren't a lot of ways for me to add value to the Patreon tiers in a consumer-friendly way, but I do have a few options. So, for now, early access will mostly stay the same, but I want to try doing multiple test builds. This change will only be to the test builds that VIPs already get. Giving VIPs more than one test build opens up more opportunities for feedback, as well as gives more time than the usual week to dig into the builds.
With that set, let's talk about the other updates.
We'll do a simple one first - the About tab. Precious Kouhai has been added, the wording for tier benefits has been updated to hopefully be easier to understand, and the whole thing should generally be a little easier to read. The itch early access benefit is also called out there now, along with some directions on how to receive it.
Next up - the Community tab. Patreon recently added a feature where we can have group chats without leaving Patreon. Discord is still the best way to contact me since I typically check here just a few times per day, but this feature will allow you to talk to me (and each other!) in a place that's a little more readable than comments on posts. Patrons will have access to that shortly after this post goes up.
Something I'd already mentioned - annual subscriptions. The discount on annual subscriptions is cranked up as high as it will go. A lot of people tend to join for a month or two before canceling, so if you're willing to commit to sticking around for a whole year, I'm happy to give you a couple months for free.
One last thing - welcome notes. I used to do this manually, but as more and more of you come and go, it started to become time consuming, and there are some of you I'd miss entirely. I still want you to know that you can send me a DM any time you have a question, want to provide feedback, or want to make use of the higher-tier benefits, but automating this means I won't miss anyone and can make some information more readily available. It also means I can provide links to benefits that might get a little buried otherwise, like the itch keys.
I hope these changes add some value for those of you who have been considering becoming a Patron but haven't yet. If there's something else you'd like to see that would convince you to join a tier, get in the comments and let me know!

early on when I joined you were doing multiple test builds (I think there was 3 of them for one release), I'm not sure why you stopped? :)
Depending on how far back you're referring to, it might've just been when I was releasing builds every two or three weeks. Those weren't test builds, though, they were meant to be full releases. They probably just felt like test builds because testing wasn't as rigorous and I was still learning... basically everything.
