fixed LE and other stuff:
Unfortunately, the acne cheats just would not work BUT I have included some loopholes! Acne stat is only given to all Youngadult and Adult sims but buffs will only apply to active sims.
Now, the only caveat is that if you add sim to family/control sim, YOU WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEIR ACNE beginning to decay (decay meaning increase towards 100) but once they are no longer active and back to an npc, the stat should set to 1 and decay at the rate below
Acne Stat: decay rate: 0.017 - this means that every sim minute, the stat increases 0.017 points. In one day, if you do absolutely nothing for their skin, it will be at 25 (level 2) and there will be a corresponding buff
npc decay rate: 0.00017 - this means that non active sims will still have an acne stat, however it will decay very slowly. It will take 100 days for a npc sim to get to level 2 this allows all sims to have acne without everyone being miserable and pimple faced.
if you gain control of that sim, their decay rate goes to 0.017.
0 to 24pts - no acne (level 1) 25 to 49pts - level 2 50 to 99pts - level 3 100pts - level 4 (max) You want to get as close to level 1 as possible. Level 3 & 4 have the same buff so it will say Pizza Face until you get down to Level 2
Keep in mind actively using skincare will help keep skin acne free. Products and acne response: washing face at skin = -0.5pts face wash = -1pts face lotion = -5pts face mask = -7pts acne patches= -10pts acne treatments= -15pts A full regimen can take a sim from level 2 to level 1 instantly, while from level 3 to level 1 will take a little longer
updated to lot51 1.34 Core minimum (you MUST have that version at minimum, v1.18 became too outdated I think!)

functional towel racks,
self care cheats - remove/disable acne for __,
various tweaks and improvements to buffs and buff removal

With this mod you basically have to really care for your sims body hygiene, acne, sunscreen and hair growth using functional products! I wanted it to be more realistic and of course alpha downed LMAO
There is a textfile you should read if you haven't used this before, 1 required file, 4 subcategories, and a folder of all objects in Self Care: Skin

I’m having problems with the hair care mod every time my SIM goes to use it. It uses it and then it’s basically stuck on the same interaction so the interaction never goes away. It’s like it’s still doing it but the animation stops and then what happened to being able to use the items so many times before it just goes out when I use it it just disappears like one time I liked it when you had the update where you use it so many times and then you run out.
They still have uses never went away after one so I’m unsure what issue you’re having.
i have an inquiry. i love this mod and really don't want to give it up. i recently downloaded the updates mod and i seem to have 2 issues. 1. the animations - they worked once and then once i restarted the game i haven't been able to use the hair or skin care. instead of the animations, my sim either meditates or goes to sleep on the floor and doesn't perform the task. i occasionally receive a buff for the facial mask but nothing else seem to be working. 2. the acne decline stat - for some reason every time i travel to another lot, the acne is immediately at 100. even if i cheat the stat back down to 0, after travel its immediately back at 100. is there something i can do or update to fix this issue? ( i made sure to update UI cheats, MC Command Center, Lot 51 core and XML injector)

I can't find the towel rack does anybody know where it is.. my sim cold every time i get out the tub
It’s any one from the game or with the tag towel rack so some cc ones will work too. It will say “change into towel”
Whenever I apply lotion I get the shiny buff but the dry skin one does not go away, neither does the ashiness.

I’m sorry to say but I love your mods but I’m having a BE for your skincare mod which is \QMBiBi_Mod_SelfCare_Skin\! [QMB]SelfCare_Skin_Face which comes up as broken and invalid tuning and I had reinstalled your mod to fix the issue but it’s saying the same issue

Check mods and be sure you deleted old one and no ds store or mac osx folder. This mod is work fine for me no crashes
hello, I'm having an issue with this mod, keeps telling me its broken and that I have to remove it and causing my game to crash.
I keep getting BE and LE for this \QMBiBi_Mod_SelfCare_Skin\![QMB]SelfCare_Skin_Face.package. It says the tuning is invalid. I've tried reinstalling the mod, but nothing is working.
Absolutely obsesssssed with this now that I finally cleared my old mods enough for it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions for the nair? As soon as my sim puts it on it gives her a buff for burning for two days😭 no matter how fast she showers. Idk if I’m doing something wrong 🥲
I paid for a subscription to download the mod, I added it to the game and now I can't launch the game because of this mod.

Hey, I have a problem. Instead of applying products, my Sims sit on the ground and meditate :(
Try applying when the product is in your inventory or close to the edge of the counter, that seems to work the best.
Baby, as soon as I created a little character, acne immediately appeared on my skin, and even after using acne patches, it still persisted. This is really bothering me. Although I like your design, the skincare products don't seem to have a good effect, including those adverse reactions that repeatedly occur in a short period of time. Although they are real, they are a bit excessive~
I'm having the same issue, even when i use MC Command to remove acne. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix, please let me know!! T_T
Hi! I'm having an issue where my sims has a never ended embarrassed moodlet for dry and flakey skin...its the Popeye's one. No matter what she uses, it doesn't go away even when the timer reaches zero. Is this a known issue
Hii! I've been having an issue where everytime I try to use the items, my sim starts sleeping on the ground instead of using this. I'm still doing some experimenting to see if theres something external that could cause this, but has anyone else had this issue?

just wanna comment for anyone who's worried about broken stuff. all her mods work fine for me i was scared at first but have had no issues. i keep my mods folder very organized so maybe thats why others have issues.

yes, just get the items from build/buy, Express delivery, and my game does not get along, so I stopped downloading it and started going into buy mode to get the hair and skin products that I want to use.

It is a trait, you can remove it and change their skin type
whenever my sims get out the shower they become ashy real fast and before I can even put lotion on them they die from embrassment so I had take the mod out

It helped me save the family in the library and merge two families, deleting unnecessary characters and leaving the one that was with an error earlier. But all skills can roll back just like the university. Be careful

I love this mod and am so thankful for your work! I can't seem to get rid of the "Dry as a Popeyes Biscuit" buff after determining my skin type. Seems like no matter what moisturizer I use, the buff doesn't go away.
If I'm not mistaking, I clicked on a mirror and the option popped up on the pie menu "Determine your skin type"

Since I found your mods, I cant play with out them so many thanks for your work! I do have one question about the hair removal cream; when I put it on and I go shower right after, it gives me this buff that I left it on for too long and she is in agony for 2 days. Honestly I havent tried with other creams just with one (veet) but I am wondering if other are experiencing it or if I am applying it incorrectly?

I love your mods! I'm having an issue with this one though. When my sim goes to use one of the skincare products, it just makes her lay down on the floor and sleep. Not all of the products make this animation happen, but most of them do. I have the newest updated version of the mod. It hasn't happened with any of the bodywashes, that I've seen yet. Is this something common?
I had that too but it was because she couldnt reach the products to create the correct animation, the tray's and shelves that you can order throug the app or buy in build mode works if you put the products on them. Also if they are more close to the edge of the counter (at least that is what I kinda figured out)

Giiirl you did your big one with this one. Personally, it ran smoothly asf on my game. Every single household (brokies included) using the skin stuff (also got the hair mod so). I got a question though: for the products sims can buy at sephora, I think it could be only me, but I'm limited to only buying one product whenever I order. Was the mod made like this or should I look into it to see if I made a mistake?

Ok before I start asking questions I just wanna say thanks so much for taking the time to make this mod. Now first off, it says our sims can get traits for skin types and stuff. How does that work, do we give it to them in cas or is it like a trait u get during gameplay. Also how in the picture above (all the way to the top) it has a little thing showing acne 16.17. What does that mean and how am I able to see it. Thanks girly!!

You should have the shelf! It’s part of the mod there’s a caddy, the cube shelf thing, and a mirror tray plus the skin fridge! I will add the Jamaican food to my list! I have some food stuff up my sleeve!

I moved back to this version as the October update is what was giving BE. This older version is working without BE.
Love this!! everything works for me except the hair removal system. When i click on the nair or veet it only gives me the option to put away. ive tried with different sims just in case. Also when i click on a face wash for my sims to use they will apply it but they wont go to a sink to do so :( they just do it wherever they are at the moment. They do get ashy after etc they just dont go to sink.

I’ve added it to my game. The gray film on their face won’t go away, it’s actually weird like a gray/green. No matter how many facial moisturizers I use it’s still there. There is a moodlet that’s not displaying properly too it has that like weird I think llama as an icon and it’s an embarrassed motion but no description on what it is and why their embarrassed
Gray/green is soap you remove it with the sink the buff. You need lumpino mood pack I forgot to say that
