Patreon Declined
For most people, if you are reading this then you are most likely okay, because that means you have access to this post and your payment went through. I'll make sure to post this on Tumblr and Discord as well to ensure as many Patreons as possible see it.
For some reason Patreon is having a lot of problems with declined cards. I am not sure what is the cause of this, but please be sure to check your payment status with your bank. Some people are saying that it's your bank flagging it as a fraudulent transaction. All you should have to do is tell the bank that the transaction is not fraudulent, and to mark it as clear from now on. Patreon will not give you access again until the payment is approved, just so you know. Thanks!
EDIT: There is word that Patreon has moved to the UK, so a lot of pledges have been declined as it is seen as newly suspicious activity on people’s credit cards.

I have only been 3 weeks and patreon is already trying to get another payment wtf
I have subsribed 12 and its 2 not even 3 weeks
My other patron had this happen too last month.
My card was decline and frozen. After calling and getting it unfrozen it did it again, so my card is frozen again
yep. I can see this page but payment was declined. no access using prepaid card from here. It's a drag, really wanted to access your work.
It's a drag, indeed. I am not happy about their decision to prohibit prepaid cards. Their cause for security has lessened the ability of others to protect their privacy.
They disabled prepaid cards. If this stance continues, a huge portion of adult oriented patreon is going to suffer. Nobody wants porn charges on their credit card.
Yeah, it's a pain in the ass. Between the time I had to take off, the declines because Patreon switched servers, and them disabling pre-paid cards, I am really feeling it.
It's declining all my prepaid credit cards. I hope this issue gets resolved soon, as this is the only way I have to make payments.
.
phew, glad I got in
As one of the people that orginally had a declined card, it simply triggered the anti-fraud message and I had to verify it was a legit charge to the account.
