Sunset Rose - Development Update #2
Hey everyone,
First of all, sorry for the long silence here. We’ve communicated the state of the release on Discord but I realize that is not sufficient and I apologize.
Truth is I’ve been ashamed and felt like a failure for not being able to come out with Sunset Rose’s first release on time.
But there is a reason for the delay. Which is, when I played the build, I didn’t like it. Not at all. And I’m not about to have something like - what most of you probably won’t even remember - MP’s launch. That was a disaster and I want to release something good from first release to last.
We experimented with a new navigation system in order to make it faster for the players to navigate in the game but it felt weird and disorienting to play so we’re redoing that.
We are rewriting a ton of the dialogue because it wasn’t up to par with the quality I was expecting.
I’m also adding more content to the release to fit the narrative more. I’m adding a couple of scenes that I really think I cooked with. (If you like the image in this post, that’s from one of those scenes)
We are also expanding and fine tuning the UI (so it won’t have to go through 3 remakes like MP did) and I’m adding a lot of the systems that were planned to later releases but makes more sense to be in the game right from the start, like earning money and stats. (I think I came up with a nice way to not make those grindy)
But anyway, the thing is, I didn’t deliver on time and I should have known better so I apologize. I’ll try to make up for it by making a really great game for you to play and from the second release onward adopting a regular release schedule.
Please bear with us a bit more until we lay the foundations of this new project.

we need chinese on steam plz..Your work also has many fans in China, but due to language barriers, they can only purchase pirated copies with poorly built-in translations. I personally discovered your work through a pirated website, back when the version was still at 0.16. I have already purchased the Steam version, but the lack of Chinese language support and elite rewards has always been a drawback. I hope you can add Chinese language support, as I believe this will attract more Chinese players to discover and purchase your work.

Well better to release it when you are happy with it, instead of rushing it. And it's good you learned from things you deemed wrong with Midnight Paradise. Midnight Paradise was one of the best game I've played and I would love to see that universe more explored (especially with Isabel, hehe). Will there still be an "Island of Eden DLC" and do you still plan to create "The Wolves' Den Expansion"? Or where these ideas scrapped by now?
All I know is I need a break from Midnight Paradise after 7 years of work on it. I hope to be able to revisit it later because I love the characters.

No issue with slowing down to make the game better. By the way, I love that her pubic hair is so easily visible around that bikini, wonderful touch to the preview

MP "October 2025 update" 1.1 Steam release, when? October 2030? No news, no communication in Discord, avoiding giving answers there... The end of January 2026, i still can't beat a full game i've bought in Steam to support you, instead of getting a copy we all know where. I love your games, but i guess it's time for giving some reviews for both games i've bought there an giving some highlights for you attitude towards Steam customers. So they may think twice, before buying your games with this kind of attitude from your side.

Having already seen the kind of work you have done on Midnight Paradise, I have full faith that you are doing what is needed to be done and at the end your creativity and expression is what we want to play/experience. Nevertheless people may be disappointed with the delay, you should focus on having some solid content also releasing with the premier of the game and not just a barebone prologue.
