Poll Sweet Affection Spy Cams
Here is the poll that I talked about in the previous progress report.
As mentioned in that post, I no longer feel like the spy cams fit in the world of Sweet Affection.
They don't fit the narrative and don't fit the characters.
And, after a lot of thinking about how we could change them, we ended up with the conclusion that it would be best to remove them, completely.
However, we also understand that people are a fan of this mechanic, or rightfully would think that removing content instead of adding it would be wrong.
So that is why we came up with a solution, if we end up removing the spy cams, we will be replacing them with other content.
From Diary Pages for the side characters, to maybe a special location in town where the spy cams would make sense and fit the story of a side character.
To, maybe something else completely.
We are not sure about what we will do, but we WILL replace any removed content with something new, that is a promise.
If the majority of people wants me to keep the spy cams, I will listen to that and we will try our best to rework it in the current game.
The poll will remain active until the end of this month, after which I will make all the results and the plan public in a progress report.

*if* the cams are kept, maybe they are there for the player to view scenes, rather than for a character to spy upon others?
what i would like to see is something that has already been mentioned, but with the MC telling them about the spycams, then they start to do special stuff for him on those cams, I.E., masturbation, doing dirty things, or even a way to call him to their respective rooms. I say it this way only because of their "no more secrets" agreements. thats my two cents, and thank you for taking the time to read, and thank you for a fantastic game!
I like this idea the best.
Suggestion: Instead of Spycams, just have moments around the house where MC is doing some thing near M and S and you happen to catch pleasant moments ( or accidental peeks). moments that are more innocent in happenstance rather than active spying. And as levels go up, the person you're looking at are casually more open with you. Example: MC is watching TV in living room when M or S aren't already there, and one of them happens to come by to pick up something or clean something and you see something
I agree that it might fit the story best if he feel bad about the spy cams in the later stage (lvl 5-7 maybe) and then either remove them or tell his mom and sis about them (maybe they tell him that it's ok that he can use the cams or to remove them). If he remove them, he might use them in other places in town. But I think that they are ok in the low lvl, before he gets real feelings for them.
I selected #1, but wanted to add that I would really enjoy the diary mechanic for the side characters. The reflections of M&S as their relationship with the MC evolves is something I greatly enjoy! I'd love to see the same with the side characters if possible. I'm okay with losing the spy cameras because they really no longer fit the story. I also understand that losing the spy cameras now and adding side character diaries as you update each of the side character story arcs is also a great way to gradually bring them into play. This way there is no delay in the primary story and, hopefully no overload in terms of the work to add them. Thanks for the update and the potential to add these diaries!!
I'm good with option 1 or 2, but just put the vote in the bigger block
It made more sense when we had RIC, but with the story of Sweet Affection it just doesn't work any more - which is a little sad as I enjoy the mechanic, but thematically it doesn't fit.
True it does not fit anymore, maybe mc can choose not do it anymore after lvl 6 or another level as his relations with S and M is high, and maybe start using it on GrandM, neighbours, school or the shop owner to keep an eye out, against that woman(which I forgot was named) who is after the shop owner niece. I am also okay with it being removed
