THE FURIOUS!
THE Furious
If you liked Blade, then maybe the Underworld series is also for you. That's like 6 movies right there. (Not all of 'em good😅)
In Time. Movie with Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake. I tend to do more Sci-Fi Action and I think this was a great concept. Also, oldie but a goldie my fave Arnie film is Last Action Hero. Freaking awesome film.
Look on Netflix or other streaming services for Korean action movies.
The Crow...1994. Is my favorite film of all time. Banger of a soundtrack too. Phenomenal cast. Highly underrated imho.
Hello, hello! Okay, so this may not be as full-on action as other proposals, but I think it's got more than enough ass-kicking to be entertaining PLUS fantasy elements, drama, some romance (not the driving force of the film, but so tender and beautiful), a pretty diverse cast, awesome acting, a lot of heart, a poignant message of hope in the face of dark times and is just all around a GREAT time: The Old Guard (it's on Netflix). I LOVE this film so much and I think it's severely underrated (it's got a sequel that, in my opinion, is not as good and for a 5+ year wait was a bit disappointing, but I'm hopeful that if there's a third movie within the next two years, it may help the overarching story). It's got Charlize Theron and Kiki Layne being total badasess and one of the most beautiful declarations of love ever committed to film (in my opinion), which I did not expect. Definitely one of my favourite feel-good films✨❣️☺️ Edit: I was looking through the other comments (there's so many great ones...Monkey Man really caught my eye! I love Dev Patel!) and I noticed Henry Leor already put forth The Old Guard so go vote there if anyone else is curious! Hopefully we'll make it🤞🏼🤞🏼
I think Dredd doesn't get enough attention. Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon are some really fun Jackie Chan films. Bad Boys is a classic. Upgrade was really cool. The Sherlock Holmes films with Jude Law and RDJ are fun too.
Does The Fifth Element count? Love that one. Bruce Willis is better in it than any of the Die Hard movies, I swear. Not really an action fan myself unless it's also got comedy or a much deeper storyline than most action movies have. I'd count Sucker Punch as one of the latter. (That second one is just for if you've already seen Fifth Element) 😂
The Fifth Element is my favorite movie. I really like Sucker Punch. It has one of the best soundtracks.
The Fall Guy! It's an ode to stunt performers and is very funny.
Does The Gentlemen count? It's a Guy Ritchie caper movie... there is a lot of action. It's very enjoyable. Matthew McConaughey and a great ensemble cast.
Wait! Caught Stealing! Absolutely class movie. Highly recommend. They don't make em like that anymore so it was so nice to see it in the cinema. Great soundtrack as well
This post made me realize that I don't really watch action movies XD
Same 😬
The A-Team (2010) with the one and only Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton Jackson and the hilarious Sharlto Copley!
Taken
The Furious (2025) was AMAZING! 🔥😉
The Rundown
Atomic Blonde is wildly underrated and so cool!
Salt
An "oldie"(1996) but aMAZing film - The Long Kiss Goodnight. Even if you don't post a reaction to it - you have to watch it.
I 100% agree. Fantastic movie.
All tom cruise movies
I really liked bullet train
Oh yeah! That was a fun one
It isn't a theatrical masterpiece but I'm pretty partial to Ninja Assassin just for the sheer discipline the actors needed - especially Rain.
Not a huge action fan but The Nice Guys. It's not full on action I suppose but it's so much fun. And The Fall Guy. Which is funny cos they both star Ryan Gosling! They're funny and have good action scenes.
Fall Guy is one of my faves!
Yes just watched the furious it’s a martial arts movie it was very good
The Old Guard!
Upgrade (2018) is phenomenal.
Nobody was a treat. Didn’t see the sequel
Robocop-1987 The movie is considered one of the best action films of the 1980s and widely considered a masterclass in hard-hitting practical effects, memorable shootouts, iconic weaponry and a surprising amount of heart about what it means to be human. It also mocks American capitalism, media consumerism and corporate greed instead of just being a mindless shoot-em-up. I enjoyed the groundbreaking practical makeup and stop-motion effects by Rob Bottin and Phil Tippett which still impresses today.
Bourne Identity
Trust me. Great action movies.
does The Mummy (1999) count as action.....oh well it does to me!!
One million percent.
Monkey Man is my favorite one since I saw it in theaters a few years ago.
the new mortal kombat movie was sick!
The Man From Uncle!
Flash Point & Kill Zone by Donnie Yen
Since my superpower is googling stuff, here’s a gift article from NYT about action movies to stream now. Some interesting foreign -language choices. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/10/movies/five-action-movies-to-stream-now.html?unlocked_article_code=1.6FA.O1BT.BmHXYsG2RKM5&smid=nytcore-ios-share
Shadow (2018) from director Zhang Yimou is one of the only things that Ive seen in the last decade that sticks out
I really liked the Grey Man (2022). It’s fun, action packed, comedic and a little campy with a heartwarming aspect to it.
Just saw a new movie on HBO called Eddington that looks good. A modern-day Western pitting a mayor against a sheriff during Covid. Joaquin Phoenix stars. I don’t know if that qualifies as an action film.
Its a politcal satire although its not entirely devoid of action
Gladiator
Just an all around movie classic. One of the best movies ever. Strength and Honor.
Equilibrium is pretty good
Monkey Man directed by Dev Patel and produced by Jordan Peele - not only some sick hand-to-hand combat scenes but some in-depth political and spiritual themes. I was so blown away watching it im the cinema 🤩
Oh, I have heard great things but I haven't watched it (yet?)
I’ve been curious about watching the Mortal Kombat movies for some action ??? Anyone suggest
John Wick especially the first 2. It's like ballet but don't tell insecure bros 🤫🤫
Personally not a fan. I physically couldn't sit through the first one. I've seen the last one because my SO begged me and I'm a fan of Bill. I just don't like Keanu's acting. They have to write specifically for his acting and line delivery. JW just didn't do it for me and I couldn't focus past that. But I do somewhat get why others like it.
Prey is a great one!
Prey was fucking amazing. A breath of fresh air from the Predator franchise
THE RAID!!! best action movie sequences ever. The sequel The Raid 2 is even better.
God-tier action movie right here
Extraction is awesome.
Yes. Second this. The second one specifically. There should definitely be an award for trailers. They nailed it on that first trailer for Extraction 2. I loved it.
I know I mention this movie constantly, but Polite Society!
It was so cute and fun and unexpected!
