- I knew "The Odyssey" was going to be good, but good lord! My eardrums were fighting for their lives, but that was such an epic experience.

Weekly topic: I was very late to seeing Obsession because I can't afford to see movies in theaters. It was very by-the-book and went exactly as expected, but the performances from the cast were all great, especially the two mains, and I was pleasantly surprised by the two of them.

same on The Odyssey! I wasn't feeling it when I saw the trailers but decided to go see it and it absolutely blew me away! I really want to see it again in 70mm but it's sold out for weeks here.
I'm so excited for your finale reaction. 🔥 I need to get to the theater to see "The Odyssey" ASAP. WQ: Silly answer, but I was super psyched to find this honey yogurt that has good reviews, but you never know. Thankfully, it was every bit as divine as I hoped. Some granola, blueberries, and chia seeds. So yummy! 🍯
Weekly answer: I left Atlanta with my dog over the July 4th weekend and spent a lot of time on the screened porch of a tiny cabin, listening to the wind in the trees. Remarkably, no urge to watch TV or even listen to music. Just sitting in a quiet place, hearing and settling. Better than I would have imagined.
Widow's Bay is currently exceeding my expectations. Love the tone of it so far - perfect mix of tension and creepiness with quirky characters and my kind of comedy

Frank, have you seen 1917 before? We watched The Odyssey last Sunday. It was awesome. For days my SO was throwing facts about behind the scenes stuff. So for Christmas I plan on getting him the Blu-ray of it. Christopher Nolan is his favorite director. We rewatched Oppenheimer the night before going to see The Odyssey and it was a good call on his part. Anyway, when we sat in the theater a commercial for nuclear engineering popped up and instant depression mode came out. I desperately want Nolan to make a horror movie, that scene was like a way more fucked up Spirited Away. My SO told me that Nolan wants to make one and is just waiting for inspiration. Also in an interview he talked about how good Obsession was. Nolan called out a YouTubers debut movie. That blew me away. Anyways, ramble done.
