Just watched it tonight and I’m so happy with it! (I loved the book too)
Went to see this in London to kill a few hours in between meeting up with friends, and seeing an evening theatre show. It's not the sort of movie we'd normally go to see, but we're SO glad we did. We were absolutely blown away by it, superb 👌

Agreed! like previous commenters, I also love the book / audiobook, A LOT. I've listened to it at least twice a year since it came out. But the movie is good! I was very happy with what they did, even if they of course had to cut some bits.

I’m listening to the audiobook book rn and really loving it!! It’s really funny and I’m shocked at how emotional it’s made me as well. I couldn’t get into the Martian book but am thinking of giving it another try now I’m more familiar with the author. Haven’t seen either movie yet tho lol 😂

Read the book! It's the movie, but better (or listen the the audio book, it's incredible). Ryan did an amazing job I think, and my baby 🪨 🥹🥹 Last year's 2 cinema visit movie was Sinners, this year is PHM. Can't wait to watch it again when I can get my hands on it. Definitely up there with the movies you named, but the book is fucking MAGIC 💖

It was really good. Ryan Gosling is an excellent actor. He does serious work very well but holy shit does he shine in comedy. That scene of him running in the background had me laughing. Personally my favorite movie of his is The Nice Guys, he stars alongside Russell Crow. It is a magnificent pairing. I have rewatched it many times. Ooh! Aaand Keith David is in it. Rocky was adorable. Also, awesome 'poster' cover or whatever it's called of PHM, it looks very cool.
The Nice Guys is an underrated gem
