I’ve been watching you youtube videos for ages and I literally joined Patreon so I could watch your reaction to this! I love orphan black so so much, and I love that I can see you watch it with fresh eyes, you always have such a refreshing take on everything ❤️

This show is so good/twisty and the way you can tell when Tatiana is playing one character pretending to be another is impressive. You said Sarah and Felix lived in the UK and US, the series actually takes place in Toronto. Scarborough, Alison’s town is actually the suburban outskirts of metro Toronto Ontario.

All I’m going to say is oh my goodness I can’t wait till I can drop my first theory unless it starts to open up faster than I think. I’ve never seen this show. I love it. I love it. I love it. Based on the opening where it shows splitting cells and as you said jeans, etc., and now that we know we have five that we have seen apparently three that we haven’t maybe just two. They’re all over the world. This is in the realm of shadow government agencies, using cloning and I think with Keira, the little girl and Mrs. S saying to “Fee” that her mama doesn’t know she is a “miracle“ something like that. This could be a international genetic experiment that would be revealed to these women’s inception to their conception and conceiving of other children. Anyway, sorry I just couldn’t hold it again. I’m still shaping my opinions on things as it goes along, but that’s my basic bones of the story yet to be shown if ever. I’m so excited!

Orphan Black my loveeeeeee The accent work is SO FUCKING GOOD, but the thing that blows my mind is that when she’s playing a character pretending to be another character (Sarah as Beth for example), you can hear her “real” accent slipping through. The first scene with Paul is a great example— Sarah isn’t expecting him so is slipping between her English accent and Beth’s Canadian accent. Which is crazy bc Tatiana Maslany is Canadian to begin with…. She’s so underrated for this series, it’s such a ride.

This isnt a spoiler: My favorite game is to watch for the episode the hair department decided to stop doing individual parts for Cosima and just started twisting Tatiana Maslany’s hair back into a bun and wrapping a loc-tail around it. I know they were fed up before that lol

i stg you Forget tatiana is the actress for every copy, the way she is able to completely dissolve into the characters is incredible. this show goes some wild places, you'll really like it!

Having Sarah being a con artist accidentally falling into this mystery, and following along with her journey through this chaod makes her such of an interesting protagonist... I also absolutely love your disclaimer regarding spoilers because I'm the same way. I'm usually the person in comments getting on people about spoilers, giving hints, or when fans immediately give out what I refer to as their "opinion spoilers", like about announcing their favorite character early on when they've just arrived(some will do it, name dropping the character and everything before the show does or they character even arrives). Even when someone does, "I can't wait until you get season_ episode_. It's my favorite episode!", "You're not ready for the next episode!", "You're going to love this character", or trying to tell someone that gotta give certain characters a chance when giving a negative opinion about a character, alluding to that character's developement, as I, too, consider these types of things to be considered spoilers because they're indirectly telling you things, giving clues about things that haven't happened yet, and skewing the person's first time experience through outside influences. I get that people get excited, but it's completely inconsiderate to the reactors(or whoever is watching for the first time), which in turn in inconsiderate the rest of the viewers who are literally watching to see others genuine, first time experience. Also, some people have different opinions in general. Like, it's not un One of my personal favorite characters in Orphan Black is one of the most hated characters in the series lol. Stuff like that, whether it's characters, storylines, etc, happens with me often in different fandoms, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my favorite series if all time, and is a fandom I'm very familiar with, but I've often had differing opinions regarding certain stuff than majority of the fandom. Even when trying to explain what Orphan Black is to somebody, I usually just say that it's a highly, bingeworthy, rollercoaster mystery with a stellar lead actress that'll make you wonder why don't more people know about this show. I literally HAVE to be vague about what the show is even about because as you can see, two episodes in, you still don't really know what the show IS actually about, and telling would literally be a spoiler lol. I don't even make references to the fandom name lol. So, I appreciate that you're very forward about what you constitute as a spoiler right out the gate because it'll hopefully allow people to be a lot more mindful(a lot of fandoms can get really bad with it, so if you ever decide to do Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which I highly reccommend, just beware lol). Orphan Black's fandom(lowkey probably the sanest fandom I've been part of honestly lol)...

I remember watching this show and the pilot episode just absolutely grabbing me with the initiating incident and how much of a mess Sarah is. That and Michael Mando, who I only knew as the 'Far Cry 3 guy', just knocking it out of the park as Vic...such a fun show, glad to see you jump into it!

oh im so very happy and excited for this one i cant even put it into words! there are like virtually no reactors watching this show so have you watch is such a big win especially when highly value and appreciate your insight in ur reactions. and how you actually pay attention! just all i can say is yipppeeeeeeeee the sheer amount of talent tatiana maslany displayed during this series is so insane. the accent work is crazy but the way she changes how her body moves between them and their demeanor. like HOW is she alison fr lmaooooooooo.

Franklin! I haven’t commented on any of your videos in so long. Life got weird and I fell several months behind on all your reactions (to the point where Patreon stopped sending me notifications wtf) but I’m finally all caught up now (and notifications are back). I also recently finished re-watching Orphan Black and then it wins a poll?? This is a fun series and I’m so glad the people voted for it. I like the introduction of Sarah. There was a lot of show-don’t-tell exposition about her character. The montage of her at Beth’s apartment preparing to take her money tells a lot about her resourcefulness and criminality (demagnetizing the bank card by rubbing it on the fridge door, practicing her signature etc., not to mention her cavalier way of approaching the con in general). That only slipped during moments when she was experiencing things she’s not already desensitized to or when it came to her daughter. Also, fun fact: both Tatiana Maslany and Jordan Gavaris (Felix) are Canadian and have “standard” Canadian accents irl. Both fooled me!

This is going to be such a fun watch, Tatiana Maslany acts her ass off And Sarah is grimey she stole Beth's life and money, didn't give her a proper burial, and fucked her man 😭 like girl what are you doinggg

YAS! Tatiana is so pretty. I also liked the styling they did for Sarah in the opening scenes. It's always fun getting to see a reaction to a new world/story and watching the processing. I always crack up at Fee's quip about towel snapping.

Mind you I was catching up on Abbott episodes to wait for the drop just for me to miss it by an hour 😭
