Don't be intimidated by the number of files😅. Here's a quick breakdown:
HQ / Non-HQ
Install the HQ version if you use the HQ Mod, which allows higher-resolution textures to display properly in-game.
If you don't use the HQ Mod, install the non-HQ version.
Skin Default
Replaces the original EA elderly skin texture with this one.
Skinblend
Found in Skin Details and applied manually on top of the default skin. NOT body slider compatible.
Face Mask
Includes only the facial overlay and does not affect the body.
These skins are a mix of the original EA textures and my previous creations, that have then been remastered. I was leading into a more Maxis-Match aesthetic this time.

Your skin defaults are probably the only ones I’ll ever use, ngl 😂 Now I have a question will you be making defaults for children, toddlers, and maybe even infants? 👀💕 Because I will literally pay if I have to LOL, I NEED them. 😭
Hi my dear, I downloaded the Skinblend NonHQ version for male and female sims. Unfortunately they don't show up in my game/in CAS. I tested them without any other mods or cc. I also downloaded the face masks (NonHQ) and these are working perfectly fine. So I guess there is a problem with the NonHQ skinblends?
Hello, were you testing them with young-adult sims? This skinblend is only available for some age categories. I am not really sure what could be the reason since they do work for me.
hey, what is the HQ Mod, where can I find it and how do I download it lol? I swear I have looked for videos but can not find a good simply explained one.
Hey! if you don’t have the HQ Mod, both versions of the files will still work in your game, but they will both appear in the regular, non-HQ quality. The HQ version is designed for higher-resolution textures. The HQ Mod allows the game to use textures at a higher resolution, up to 2048×4096 instead of the standard 1024×2048. It’s mainly useful if you spend a lot of time in CAS and like being able to see small details. If you have the mod and use the high settings required for it, but you use an item that does not have an HQ version, it may not work properly on your Sim. It can turn black or the textures can get messed up. All of my previews are made with everything in HQ. That’s why you can see such small details on the lips, eyes, eyebrows, every little hair, etc. Without the HQ Mod, especially since some of these details are very small, they might not be visible at all or could look a little more blurry. if i have a normal default skin for all ages will this clash
What do you mean by a normal default skin? If you have a cc default skin that is applied to all ages, then it will clash, because you can only have one cc default skin per age group. But if you mean the standard EA skin then it will not:)
are defaults like automatically going on your sims or is it like a overlay where you have to put it on yourself ?
The first thing you described is the default version, and the second is the skinblend version :))
