Are people reluctant to join/have cancelled because of needing to use discord to access the bases?

I was a bit nervous to join because of needing discord. I think it's a smart idea and I don't mind it.

I cancel wen I don't have the funds then wen I do have the funds I rejoin but sometimes I cant subscribe

Only ever had to cancel was due to financial issues, other then that. I think the whole discord thing is very secure and smart💚✨

I didn’t exactly cancel and would happily join if I had the money for it. But I partly do think it’s because of the discord thing, because I know a lot of my friends that was subbed to you were complaining about it.

I think sometimes ppl (like me) skip a month or two due to financial reasons However, if discord, since I've seen you struggle with discord, is too much of a pain you could also send out emails/links to the respective ppl Subscribed. Either via email OR their patreon. I have also noticed ppl needing ppl to have access to drop box to have automatic access to said link/Dropbox access; I've seen that used for old and current bases. I wouldn't see why you wouldn't make a file and have the current base in there So that only ppl who are actively Subscribed can access said bases. May need one for sfw and nsfw but that may be easier than sending mass emails depending on the situation

I mostly have been unable due to finances but also the fact that bases are removed within two months now. I often get busy and forget about things and next thing yk I miss out on a drop because of my own fault I guess lol. I absolutely support you protecting your work as it’s behind a paywall for a reason!!!

Only reason I cancel is when I can’t afford it during the month

I originally was hesitant because of the age verification crap discord was doing, I didnt like the idea of having to give my personal info to something so unbelievably unreliable, and still don't, it's one thing doing so with sizes like Patreon where it's purchase based, versus something that's just chat based and has known regular major security breaches. If they ever do try to force me to have to upload my ID there's I probably won't be able to continue the subscription out of fear.

Chai I’d only cancel if I didn’t have the founds but soon as I’m able I’d be back. I also don’t see or have a problem with how you are protecting your work and you are doing amazing work I will continue to support you for as long as I can.

I'm not an artist, so the bases aren't what I come here to support, so much as follow you as an artist. But I completely agree with protecting your work! It's such a unique and beautiful style that you're putting time and effort into, you deserve to protect it!

In my currency the price rn is a bit too high for me at this current time so I always have to pick and choose when I can sub bases are a luxury item The bases being on discord honestly isn't that big of an issue to me it keeps you safe! Since sites exist for stealing Patreon stuff

Budget is tight for me, thats the only reason I havent gotten out of the free tier. The discord thing is moot for me cuz im maxed out on servers, but thats a me problem.

If u wanna keep ur bases safe I see nothing wrong with that at all I mean afterall u spend hours and days on bases you make us so it's only fair your allowed to control how we acesse them i see no problem with it

I only cancel my subs when Im struggling with money as I see bases as a luxury but I do come back when I'm stable

The only reason I cancel Patreon subs is when my finances can’t support it. And then when I get things corrected and have the money, I rejoin. I think it’s good for you to safeguard and not have your art stolen! It’s not fair to you or the people who pay.

I'm also currently broke, since I went on a vacation but I hope to be back soon ♡
