future changes: usage of dropbox

hello patrons,

ive been trying as much as possible to not making it disorienting to users to access their rewards while preventing leak/data crawling at the same time, but it was not enough for everyone, i feel thankful to those who decided support me even though theres this silly '2 step verification' also respect those stopped pledging who felt its too bothersome

considering that ive been occasionally getting feedback related to its discomfort, i thought it could be better to not have this kind of access system since i thought it could be confusing to newcomers

ill be moving out rewards to patreon and eventually only be posting on patreon without dropbox and would plan to delete dropbox links around december (if theres no big big problem doing it for myself)

feel free to leave any feedback in the comments, thank you

so wait, now that the dropbox is gone, how can I access all the posts I missed in it? it was convenient to see everything you made in a better organized way than how patreon does it

using dropbox is a good way to prevent your works from being leaked elsewhere for free

While it might be a bit confusing for some, I do think having the dropbox with "2-step verification" is reasonable to prevent people from leaking your art. And I might be a bit biased, but I'd be fine with some 10-step verification if I had to, just to see your art, as I love it. :3 I don't know how many people have complained about this though, so I don't know how big the problem is. But personally I think it'd be best too keep the dropbox to try and minimize leaks as much as possible. Especially considering how these AI image services these days crawls all over image sites, and I've seen how some can copy artists styles quite well just because art has been posted to sites without the artists approval. And it'd be very sad to see your art copied by some AI.

I didn't mind using dropbox though with the posts being separate on Patreon I could leave comments on particular artwork that I really like :3

The compromise is having low resolution on Patreon, & managing dropbox for people looking for full res. New patrons would get posts still, & scrapers would have not the full experience.

The Dropbox is nice to catch up on stuff I've missed (you're a VERY productive artist!) but regular patreon emails would definitely be convenient. You should do what you want to do, there's advantages and disadvantages to every choice.
