How to install my worlds & use build downloads (EPIC TUTORIAL)

how do i get the shading mobs?
can anyone tell me if you have to have the minecraft refined mudpack for the builds to work? I know it says to ensure everything works correctly its recommended to use but I wanted to know before I pay to be a member if the builds are really messed up without it or if its okay if you dont use it? Like I've had schematics before that I couldn't use cause the server I play on didnt have them installed and then like ⅓ of the blocks wouldn't show up cause it was something custom to that without a replacement.
