🕷️ Spider Demon｜A Future Being from the Shan Hai Jing（January 2026）BY E.S.M Original Character

The Shan Hai Jing, an ancient text from the East,
records countless beings that were never fully defined.

Its spirits and strange creatures remain blurred and ambiguous,
as if they never truly left this world.

What draws me in
is this sense of Eastern mystery—
a state that exists somewhere between documentation and the unknown.

Spider Demon (Bai Ying) was born from this atmosphere.

She retains a human form,
allowing her to move through a future shaped by civilization,
keeping distance and concealment among the crowd.
Yet her white hair and crimson eyes
quietly reveal that she is not human.
What cannot be hidden
are the eight limbs extending from her back—
the unmistakable traces of an ancient bloodline.

Her low, grounded posture
is not a sign of weakness,
but a way of existing that still preserves primal instinct.
Once a dweller of forests and mountains,
she now inhabits a future city built of structure, shadow, and boundaries.

This is not a spirit tamed by modernity,
but a being still continuing—still unfolding.

Spider Demon may become
one of E.S.M’s future original character themes,
allowing lives drawn from ancient bestiaries
to continue existing in new forms
within a new era.
