The Trimmer - Early Access
Yet again, another Tartarus-related comic (and no, I haven’t been in a dark headspace lately, I promise :D )
This one came from my curiosity about bonsai trees. I wanted to understand how they’re actually made.
That’s when I realized how much cutting, bending, and constraint is involved to shape them so precisely.
I also learned that in agriculture, we use techniques like girdling — deliberately damaging a tree so it produces more fruit.
That made me wonder…
how would Persephone react if she knew how we make plants thrive? 🌱🔪
Also, I really love drawing “angry” Persephone :) I don’t know why, but there’s something so fun about drawing unhinged, borderline-crazy characters :D

Persephone would not be happy with me. For my 25th anniversary with Ball, they gave us bonsai trees. I never trimmed it, but I over watered it.
