2nd Release from the month: Raiden

Hello friends, I hope you're all doing great.
Here’s the second release of the month—and as many of you have already guessed, it’s Raiden from MK

For me, he’s a character I used to play with a lot. I found him easy to use, with solid combos and great special moves. And I always thought he was super cool. Plus, he’s been a constant presence throughout almost the entire franchise.

In my version of Raiden, I decided to keep him as simple and stripped-down as possible in terms of clothing. I’m not a big fan of the designs from the more recent games—even though they look cool, I feel like they’re a bit overdesigned. I much prefer the classic designs that evoke 70s and 80s Kung Fu movies. That was actually a huge source of inspiration for the original Mortal Kombat—at least the first one—so I went with a more austere take on the god. Simple robes, a very basic weapon, and all his power coming through the expression of his body and face.

So I spent a lot of time designing the movement in his clothes—the dynamics, the tensions—those are the details I really wanted to highlight.

For his right hand, you can choose between three different arm options.
One is a standard arm, as seen in the first photo.
Another is being pierced by a lightning bolt, which pairs with an alternate base where his right foot is also surrounded by lightning.
And the third stays true to the ultra-violent nature of the game—he's holding the skull and spine of a defeated enemy, probably right after landing a devastating special move.

As for the left hand, you can choose to display him with or without his staff.
