So far, this is how the GI JOE collection is shaping up.
Honestly, I thought my version of Cobra Commander would get a warmer reception — I was pretty proud of how it turned out! Maybe you prefer designs that stick closer to the originals? Or are you holding out for a more popular character?
I'd love to hear your thoughts — do you enjoy creative reinterpretations, or do you prefer designs that stay true to the classic looks?
In any case, I’ll be announcing our second model for the month this coming Monday — so stay tuned!

I think the model is great! GI Joe just isn’t a franchise I’m interested in. I personally joined for the Marvel and Invincible content.

I really like the your GI Joe models, Everyone who stops by my office always compliment them.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this model when it dropped. I was a huge GI Joe fan as a kid. And I would say the biggest compliment I could give is that I could hear Cobra Commander yelling COBRA! When I looked at it. I enjoy the reimagining, he seems more regal I do think the render was lacking in the reflection of the helmet face shield. As well StatixSTL dropped one at the exact same time that has some really good aspects. I would be overjoyed to have both on my shelf. Honestly I think the one thing that is holding this drop back is the presentation. I know the model is what we are paying for but, a background image of explosions or swarm of AH-1 Cobra helicopters would have really sold the pose.
Thanks, my brother. Wow, that's truly a great compliment, and I'm really glad you're in favor of reinterpretations of classic characters because it's one of the most fun things to do. Yes! Finding out that StatixSTL was promoting another statuette of the same character was a hard hit because it inevitably detracts from its visibility, besides it being very bad luck that for a character you don't see that many statuettes of, two come out practically at the same time. But oh well, that's the name of the game... Thank you very much for your suggestion! And I'll definitely keep it in mind when promoting my next figures. I could make a first image with a scene/background that gives context to the character and then the others with a black background so the figure stands out! I simply dont care about GI Joe. Is not about your model itself, but about the show. Is something I had never gotten into as a kid. Sure, I'd watch it, along with He-Man and M.A.S.K, but what kid didnt? Does not mean I hold any nostalgia for these models. Again, it has nothing to do with your work, just the content. Ps. Now.. If you were to make a character line for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.... :P

Even though you already know my feelings on it, I'll reiterate here for the rest that read this. Even if you do a character someone else has done, I'm still getting yours no matter what. But yes, reinterpretations are great, as long as they hit the iconic details./colors. Which your sculpts do! As for future characters, I'll list my top five again: 1. Storm Shadow 2. Firefly 3. Lifeline 4. Jinx 5. Serpentor

I think Jose nailed it. Yours looks great. Reinterpretations are cool as long as they honor the original and don’t try to reinvent it. It also seems like GI Joe is the latest show to get focus from several Patreons. That may be the reason for it struggling to get traction. Hang in and keep up the good work.

And yes, sometimes it’s hard to decide which model to continue with because I know a lot of people are tired of always seeing the same characters (Batman, Spider-Man, etc.), but betting on less popular characters sometimes doesn’t grab much attention! But I’ll definitely give GI JOE more chances!!
I think he looks great! I hope you make more like him. Reinterpretations are good as long as they don't deviate too much from the original concept IMO. There's so many characters you could create. Would love to see your take on Storm Shadow.
