A Big Problem with Modern Science Communication
What's going on with the Hubble Tension and does it really imply a Crisis in Cosmology? How to stay sceptical but at the same time keep an open mind? What big discoveries should we expect in the coming future? Looking for answers to all these questions with Dr Ethan Siegel.

I enjoyed this discussion! Personally, I've learned to tune out most of the media these days and prioritize in-depth analysis. Time is precious, and I'd rather not waste it on sensationalism or constant "Breaking" news.
"Crisis in Cosmology" is so melodramatic I like to remember Steve Pinker's advice in his last book: "Keep some perspective. Not every problem is a Crisis, Plague, Epidemic, or Existential Threat, and not every change is the End of This, the Death of That, or the Dawn of a Post-Something Era."
Some people speak in complete sentences without . Some can speak (few coherently and fluidly) in complete paragraphs. Dr Siegel communicates in sort-of chapters the length of a sermon. He would be exhausting as a prof.
Another fascinating interview and, once again, it allowed me to see and understand a different aspect of how we look at ourselves and the universe.
Watching it now. Wonderful!! I didn’t know about the medium resolution simulation problem, for example, nor that JWST’s really bright images might just be a calibration problem because of the scope performing so much better than expected… Thanks SO much for this great content!
