Fraser - I love the show and have been watching all your content for ~3years now. I hope you are enjoying the Hiatus! I finally came up with a question worth asking. PBS Space Time did an explainer on Dark Matter Stars and it made me wonder: Could Dark Matter Stars be Population-3 stars? Would they be considered Population 4, and the massive energy release upon dark matter annihilation created the expansion of the universe because PV=nRT? All that high temp needed somewhere to go so the universe expanded to balance the equation? Link to Space Time Explainer: https://youtu.be/zUhOL38346Y?si=6EylOJmsRp6gE_DA

There's a researcher who thinks it's the explanation. Dark matter was so concentrated in the early Universe that it could have been mashed into star-like objects. The particles would annihilate in the core, pushing it outward like stellar fusion. Then they would have collapsed into supermassive black holes. So, it handles a lot of mysteries all at once, but it assumes that dark matter is a particle that can be pulled into a sphere like that. No evidence yet.

Hi Fraser. Is it possible that the glow New Horizons sees is from the Local Bubble that was produced by a nearby supernova? If it is, then space likely is as dark as we thought. (The glow being caused by the receding wavefront of the supernova.)
