So, to pursue the question the fella had about 2 Earths touching like two marbles and your answer that they'd merge into a single sphere, I take it that 2 Earths could NOT form a Rocheworld -- leastwise, not for very long!!!

Not if hydrostatic equilibrium has any sway. ;)

Hey Fraser! I have a Space/Skepticism question for you. I've been following you for years and Steve Novella et al over at Skeptic's Guide to the Universe Today (lol) for about a year now. One topical overlap between the two that comes up in this video is the question of if energy is a noun or a verb. When you answered the question in this piece about if a large enough accumulation of energy would be similar in effect to a comparable large enough accumulation of mass, you were talking about energy as if it were a noun. Steve Novella and the rogues, when addressing questions of "energy" based pseudoscience, are very clear that it's not meaningful to describe, say, "balancing your body energy" because energy's, not a noun, but a verb. They say that it's a measure of potential work and not a thing you can keep in a box. Am I missing something evident or is it just two different uses of the same word? Thanks!

In this situation, I'm really talking about energy in the form of electromagnetism: photons. The Sun is converting its hydrogen mass into photons of gamma radiation, so I think those count as nouns.
