You raise an interesting point about visible light telescopes on the Moon, Fraser. On which side of the Moon would they experience the least amount of light interference? On the far side, they'd have to contend with the distant Sun in some instances but on the near side, they'd have to contend with the light from a Full Earth at times. Any idea which one is "better"?
