The Militarization of Space. Do We Really Need a Space Force?
President Trump recently called for the creation of a space force to deal with the future warfighting in space. It turns out, this already exists, space is already well militarized.

If a crime is suspected to have taken place somewhere up there in orbit (and remember, the space station is an 'international' venture, is there n established protocol for handling it?
It just depends on which module of the station it happens on, Russian or US.
I would like to see the United States Air Forced turned more into an Aerospace Force, with some of its more terrestrial missions, such as Close Air Support turned over to the Army, if we really do feel the need to increase focus on space military missions. But have we really entered an age that despite the best wishes of so many, that we have to contemplate it? I know there is rhetoric in that direction from most of the major powers, but I hope we are not quite there yet, and can avoid it.
For me I think it's valid to have a space force once you're actually putting humans out in space, but I guess it's really all just semantics.
