Unfortunately, I’m still a YouTube junkie. But your new videos show up in my subscription feed, and I add them to my watch later list. Then, over the coming days, when I have time, I pop over to Patreon to listen to it as free, like I did just now. :)

Now for one hot second I thought you called it the ultra violent explorer..

R
Richard Reumerman · November 2, 2026

I tend to watch/listen while doing the dishes funny enough.

J
Jopl · November 2, 2026

My pet peeve with Patreon is that if I start watching one video, but I don’t finish it, then click on another video, the first video is deleted from my queue.

D
Dina · November 2, 2026

I'm located in Europe, so watching Space Bites during Saturday breakfast is a routine I always look forward to ❤️

A
Abeltown Productions · November 2, 2026

I've been watching you on Patreon for the last few months now but the only thing I miss is the poll, is there any way I can vote without going into YouTube?

K
Kessen family Kessen · November 2, 2026

I just peek at Patreon when I have time and see what has shown up and then watch, maybe 2-3 times a week. Had no idea what the schedule was😉

C
Chris Capobianco · November 1, 2026

I usually watch Sunday mornings on my iPad while I do the dishes or am meal prepping

T
TeddP · November 1, 2026

I see the new episodes when they show up in my podcast feed. The only problem with that is the members podcast feed(which is just the Overtime episodes and Patreon QA, I believe) only has new episodes very sporadically. The last episodes in the feed were OT 423,430,456,457,458,459,470 and Patreon May,June,July.

T
TeddP · November 1, 2026

I can see episodes on YT, or course, but am normally exclusively podcast only. I use Pocket Casts. The problem seems to have started around June, missing one or two, now whole swaths of episodes.

QR works alright for me….

Television thing doesn't work as I can't cast patreon to the tv from the app. I'd love to watch on patreon but it's not friendly for the tv

K
Kate Hooppell · November 1, 2026

I get email notifications. I hadn't figured out the schedule. I would sometimes check my email hoping to see a notification. I watch them with my toddler. They are 18 months old. I say "Want to watch a Fraser?" and they say "Yesssss."

B
Brian Rodriguez · October 31, 2026

Question for the show; How polluting is a rocket launch eg starship and what will probablybe improved in the future? We still need a lot of power to reach escape velocity

K
Kalee Tock · October 31, 2026

Fraser (and Anton) accompany me on my Saturday morning run. The lack of ads is a major plus because I can be hands-free (without stopping to scroll through ads or be irritated by them).

T
Tom Jolly · October 31, 2026

I watch intermittently, based on whether the subject is of interest to me. (Or subjects). I like that time-marks are shown so I can skip forward to the bits I want to watch, though often that ends up being the whole show.

G
Gillian Wiseman · October 31, 2026

Yes, I see the patreon reminder every week, and I watch it on friday evening or saturday morning.

R
Ragnar · October 31, 2026

You are my breakfast companion as I chew through my fruit and yogurt. Food for thought...thought from food. I partner you with APOD, which is the ultimate eye candy. THANK YOU for keeping my brain active.

J
John Kimberley · October 31, 2026

Hi Fraser and Antony, I get the e-mail saying it there and some time in the next day or two I watch/listen to it. Then I probably scroll through UT e-mail finding anything that I am interested in. Keep doing the Space bites - it good.

N
Neuterdude · October 31, 2026

The QR code worked very well, no problems on my end and I think it’s a great way to get more people to the video here on Patreon.

R
Robert Godes · October 31, 2026

I was able to use AI on a screenshot on my phone and come watch the bonus story. Thank you! Great job!

P
Peter Black · October 31, 2026

Watch with Saturday breakfast, great format 👍

B
Brian Deschene · October 31, 2026

I watch the channels I follow when I can give them the attention they deserve to really enjoy them. That often waits for a quiet block of time when life and work permit. A holiday. Or a sick day. Or a personal down day. Like that. I use Nebula, Patreon, Odysee, etc and never YuckTube because this is a past time and never scheduled. Schedules are for what I have to do, not what I want to do.

G
GamerLudwig · October 31, 2026

I do look forward to the episode every week, but i don't remember the weekday. Either i notice the patreon email on friday evening and watch it before bed, or i notice some time during the weekend and watch it then.

D
David Bundy · October 31, 2026

I disabled notifications on Patreon because I don't like getting spammed with too many notifications, so I first noticed that a new video was released on Saturday morning (Central European Time) because You Tube recommended the community post to vote on the video. That's fine for me. In this case I already knew about most of the stories because I had already read them on Universe Today. My favourite story is the TOI 561b atmosphere discovery because I am obsessed about exoplanets.

T
Todd Chamberlain · October 31, 2026

Yep, the QR code worked well. That was convenient, thanx! I usually don't watch on Patreon because the lack of a TV app, and because (for whatever reason) the patreon version doesn't like to go landscape on my phone. 🤷 But, with this QR code, I'll be able to very simply come here and at least watch the bonus bite! 🫶

S
Suki Suviel · October 31, 2026

due to timezones I tend to watch space bites on Saturday's (or later if weekend is busy), but I know it comes out on Friday's, yes.

M
Max Eliaser · October 31, 2026

To your question: I'm not conscious of any specific release schedule, I just spot an episode in my patreon feed and open a tab to watch it later.

P
Pee kubed · October 31, 2026

No l look forward to this. It’s a good digest. I wish it was twice a week.

C
Christopher Lockner · October 31, 2026

My only real complaint with Patreon is the lack of a TV app. Casting is unreliable & inconsistent...

A
Anton Pozdnyakov · October 31, 2026

We did talk to Patreon about it multiple times. Hopefully, they will release one soon

J
Jos van der Spek · October 31, 2026

Totally worked (I wish LG put the Patreon app in their app store 🤭)

B
Brad Fulton · October 31, 2026

I usually watch it on Friday. I use the link in the email to get to patreon. Love it! Sometimes I inflict it on my wife, but often I watch it by myself. I cast it from my phone to my TV.

J
James Levi · October 31, 2026

I watch regularly on my phone. Love it. Keep going. Space is fascinating. BTW, Halloween is my birthday!

D
Dwayne Duval · October 31, 2026

I recieve all notifications for new content available. I tend to watch that day usually while doing dishes after dinner. Or at least watch it before bed that day 95 percent of the time.

R
Ronald McCoy · October 31, 2026

I live on the East Coast of Australia, and I get to watch Space Bites and receive the Newsletter on my Saturday morning/lunchtime. It’s the perfect way after a long busy week. I’ve often thought how great the timing is. I also like how the journalism is so good, and I absolutely trust you. You picked the stories that I would like to hear, and you always present them with a sense of wonder, which is a breath of fresh air in this cynical age. Keep up the amazing work!

C
Chunky Fuzzy Wawa · October 31, 2026

Rewatching from YT, didn't use the QR code, I just rewatch it. I generally watch it after NSF's The Flame Trench or a little bit later. Every Friday 😄

D
David D · October 31, 2026

Friday is my date night with me. I have my favorite meal and I watch space bites. I’m always psyched when I remember that there’s a new space bites and it comes into my feed. My watch on Patreon and then I go over to YouTube to vote. It really is a highlight of my week. Thanks, Fraser.

C
Chris Casper · October 31, 2026

I subscribe here, on YouTube, and through Apple Podcasts so I get almost all the notifications (I don’t do YT notifications). But what I do is save up my space News for Fridays and watch Space Bites, Q&A+, Dr Becky, Scott Manley and sometimes SpaceMog. I’ll catch the interviews during the week and AstronomyCast the day of. From a timing perspective, Space Bites ends up being a lunchtime watch or during my evening winddown.

C
Cold Iron Forge · October 31, 2026

The QRC on tv works.

Z
Zu · October 31, 2026

I get space bites notifications through my emails from patreon, and also notifications through youtube as soon as the video comes out. Most of the time I watch the video straight away through patreon and go to youtube to the survey of the best space story 🤩

Charles Greene · October 30, 2026

I word remotely. This weekly episode reminds me that another Friday has arrived. I look forward to the weekly episodes but totally understand you wanting to enjoy holidays with friends as family as well.

G
Glenn Howell · October 30, 2026

I also get the Patreon notifications. Normally, I watch it on Saturday or Sunday at the latest. Today I knew there would be a discussion on the new dwarf planet, so I listened right away.

A
Alan Gross · October 30, 2026

I keep track of what's coming in the way of podcasts and videos each day of each week. So, for me on the East Coast of the US, I know to expect notice on Friday in the late afternoon or early evening that Space Bites has arrived, and I usually watch it that evening. Then I immediately go and answer the YouTube poll, which I will do right now. :-)

P
Phil Bergin · October 30, 2026

Also, FYI I never realized all of the stuff I receive from you is on any sort of schedule. I just watch them as I receive them.

P
Phil Bergin · October 30, 2026

I receive notification that I have received something from you and I leave it on my desktop until I have time to watch it. Usually get to it within 24 hours.

F
Fiss · October 30, 2026

I'll usually relax with a drink and a snack on Friday evening and watch the Patreon version while the youtube version plays in the background (gotta help the algo figure out I like the content there too, I just play it at 1% volume.) It's always a nice half hour or so just to listen to the updates, see the excellent animations/photos, and know that the universe keeps spinning no matter what's going on in my/our lives.

M
Michael Booth · October 30, 2026

Yes the link/qr code worked a 'treat'! ( Happy Halloween 🎃) This is what usually happens. If I am doing my usual daily trawl through You Tube on the TV I usually end up watching space bites, question shows, live streams etc there. Every now and then I will be a bit more proactive and change input to a mini pc that's hooked up to the TV via a HDMI cable. Doesn't happen a lot but it's better than my previous method of logging onto my firestick's internet browser and watching there. Personally I find navigation in Patreon a bit clunky and it seems hard to find a specific video that I might be looking for. ( Getting back to the link) This seems to work well as a quicker alternative so thanks!

O
Owen S · October 30, 2026

I receive Patreon notifications when a new video is available. I watch them in the afternoons either on Friday, or a few days later.
