Q&A 47: Starter Telescope Advice and More. Featuring Dr. Alan Stern from New Horizons
In this week's question show, I explain why I'm happy to answer questions, what first telescope people should get, and if we've ever seen a black hole ever. Also, stick around to the end, where Dr. Alan Stern, the principal investigator of New Horizons answers a question about the mission.

I don't think we get "numb" to new things. I prefer to think because we evolved and continue to evolve, a more proper term would be to say, we adapt to new things and once they are no longer new, it's no big deal.
I agree that numb is the wrong word. I probably should have used "accustomed".
I see the Patreon monies have really upped the CGI game: falling snow that actually bounces off your jacket, melting over time when it sticks, birds flitting about the trees actually causing branches to move, etc. Tell your video effects lead she did an amazing job. ~_^
We'll spare no expense to simulate the Canadian winter.
