Thank you, Boldazarg, for making Fraser crack up like that! That was hilarious :D
Physics is never ending subject.Theres always something new,as we learn in are discoveries and are research. We will learn more when we the find the solution When that solutions meets to the same,it will be complete
*Can* you make a Mars orbiter with a 2.4 m mirror? Yes. Will we spend $4B to do so? No. As in “No money, honey.” And, it’s overkill — it would be like squirrel hunting with a 357 magnum. The LRO narrow-field camera has 0.5 m pixel-scale using a 0.2 m aperture. (Not that 4 cm resolution wouldn’t be cool!)
Thank you so much Fraser and Anton for leaving in the part where guffaws ensued. I personally needed a good laugh just when this happened. Priceless! And, just as I became a paying Patron when Universe Today called for support, I heeded the other call and went from being a free Patreon member to $5/month for AstronomyCast. Death to ads everywhere!
nasa seems to be repurposing things towards the moon such as gateway modules and third mars rover. Could Roman’s twin mirror considered for Mars be put into an LRO type orbit? How big is the LRO mirror in comparison
