I love your work but for years I hear you wanted viewers to subscribe to your newsletter, so I checked out a few articles first, some of them are good, and some of them are a straight-up and shoddy copy-paste job from ChatGPT/other LLMs, yes, ChatGPT and other LLMs are a part of A.I mistakenly considered "whole" of A.I. Anyway, One such example is "What Happens When Light Goes Boom?" by an entity, named as "Paul Sutter" (I am not sure if that's even a human at this stage or just an LLM) and whole experience just kind of left a bad taste. So, Mr. Fraser, why would I, or anyone else, would subscribe if we can just ask ChatGPT or Gemini something lke "hi summarise latest news for me" and have less emails for us? Again, love your work, but this excessive usage of LLMs to write an article, not appealing at all.
The articles on Universe Today are not written by or with AI. Dr. Paul Sutter is a well-known and well-published cosmologist and YouTuber himself. Obviously you've answered your own question: if you rely on bad sources of information, you will not know the difference anymore. If you don't source everything you consume, you're going to at least look like a fool with egg on your face when you unironically accuse one of the last bastions of actual human science journalism in the world of plagiarizing LLMs without evidence.
Hello Fraser. Considering the distance on those two black holes, they must be travelling at an astonishing rate around each other. What speed would that be?
Some of the patron "names" are pushing it; especially Mr. "Follow My Nephew."
Mr. "Follow my Nephew" is paying $100 a month for that space. It's more or less ad space. I don't see what the issue is.
